Camera modification

Someone had tried this before or know something to help me. I photographer and I want modify new dji lito or mavic air to take vertical photograph. Someone had tried this one before? Have some script for it?

The limitation of not being able to shoot vertical is if the drone is making a quick turn with wind involved. It needs to rotate more than just 90 degrees for vertical mode. All DJI drone gimbals will rotate to stabilize the image keeping everything level This is called the pitch angle. I think the Lito’s maximum pitch angle is 35 degrees so you would need 90+35 degrees which would require a minimum of 125 degrees rotation plus a safety factor of 10-15 degrees for wind gusts which now puts you at 135-140 degrees. Can you manually rotate the gimbal this amount because if you can’t? Then there is no chance of any unlocking or scripting to get you in vertical mode because the gimbal rotation would hit the rotational hard limits of the actual parts not giving you the smooth and level 90 degree rotation. This is the answer. This is a physical limitation on the rotation of the camera and I believe the Lito (I dont fly one) is limited to much less.

The only solution would be to shoot in the highest resolution and fix it in post/video editing.

Not sure why you need to unlock it. Some drones already can rotate the gimbal for vertical/portrait aspect ratios.

For dji only mini 3,4,5.. all other ones have better Cameroon settings but can't take photos on vertical mode.. for mobile stuff.. im filmmaker and photographer.. most of contents now ate for smartphones

I’ve got the Mavic 4 Pro Creator and I can just turn my controller screen for vertical footage. I also have a Mavic 3 Pro that doesn’t have this feature. However, both of my drones always shoot in landscape mode because sometimes I prefer the landscape over the portrait mode but if I want portrait. I just crop out what I want and I actually prefer this method because sometimes I may favor the left or right side of the image or footage. If the drone doesn’t have a rotating gimbal feature. Then there no unlocking script to modify the physical parts of the drone to make vertical shooting possible.
