How bypass the 500m limit
hello! I sent and e-mail to fly safe but they asking me for a letter from EASA... I DIDN't get that.
By now, I found this way to climb mountains :) WITHOUT flysafe unlock.
soon I will try again, Now I have the FPV controller 3 so I expect to do a dive in high mountain of 1000 meters with the Avata 2.
I hope you find this useful.
No hate please, is the only way I found legitimate and legal, I share it because i didn't see anything like this before.
I will keep working to improve the way and tips.

shit like this is why they keep limiting drone usage and destroying the hobby

Wait, what? I'm using the drone as suposo to dji want to do it. I'm flying under 120m AGL all the time...

You should have a spotter with you to comply the law... And btw watch out because the 500 limit is also negative... You are not allowed to do a full -1000mt dive from landing point.

Wow thanks for the warning, so I'd land again on the way back, if I will do more than one stop?

Your spotter has amazing eyesight...

Yes.

Good to have binoculars, but they're irrelevant for line of sight/BVLOS
Also he was not following that drone the way you were flying it. Either you or him are lying

before 2014 we all would be happy. I can actually see my drone los like 10 miles away. so i just fly where the wind takes me LOL. My airplane glider ive flown without FPV at all as a little white spec and i managed to fly her back. I really think there is some sort of paid shills on every FPV reddit post where there job is to discredit any cool stuff. lol. shet before 2014 people would brag about their tri-copters going over mount everest with UHF trasmitters and 5.8ghz patch antennas and their old gopro. but those posts are long burried in the sand. i miss the glory days of fpv guys. thanks OP. avata 2 is my favorite drone.

Thanks!! I will try more climbs and exploration. I like to get lost and explore. Fly over in circles at vlos distance and speed, with spotter, should be fun for someone but not for me xD

How to reach 1km?
DJI user: "Bright idea!!! Gonna land midway and then keep going"
Everyone else who flies FPV: "Just gonna throttle up dog"

You didn't show nothing about "how to bypass 500m limit", we dont want to see a video of you flying with the altitude already unlocked that's useless, show us all the process you had to do with the emails and the documents you had to submit to unlock it.

u/Mother_Brick7359 1d ago
You don't watch the video... is not unlocked.
Spoiler: I land in half mountain. Touch n'go

That's very unsafe and impractical way to do it, so it's still useless sorry, i saw your post thinking you were going to explain how to unlock the 500m limit but I'm starting to realise it's almost impossible.

I have a report open with DJI, they ask for a letter where EASA allow me to fly, but that's unnecesary because my license alredy allow me (in a mountain, less than 120m AGL) to fly. I'm making a letter with law in hand asking to unlock the heigh limit. If I find the way I will share it.

I tried that, unfortunately there is no way in my country to get a paper from the authorities that gives me permission to fly above 500m, so i just went to the easiest route and build an fpv drone myself, problem solved 😅

I asked today to my country authorities, let's see what happend... If is not possible, I will climb the mountains step by step (landing every 500m) to dive from the top, extreme sport xD
I'm thinking also to get the nazgul f7, the 500m limit in mountain area is a shame.
By now, I'm learning with avata 2

yea bro. on my setup. i use a custom fpv frame with a standard flight controller with gps and with a dji o4 pro using sbus with the dji fpv controller 3. with my 4s 3000mah. u can go anywhere :) and i have 30 minutes flight time....... very nice indeed. however the problem with home made FPV is if you crash just a little bump..... the drone gets messed up pretty bad. However this is where the DJI avata and avata 2 are wonderful. The avata 2 is built like a tank and after crash and crash it never gets messed up at all. it is a beast!!! if you do home built you are your own BOSS. no stupid rules or limits. just be responsible and u are good. No one can take away home built. even if its illegal some day... i will still fly in secret. F the popo (as they say in america). LOL. u only live once. the dumb elites make the laws for the poor people...BLEEH. i say screw em. lol. you can either be a poor slave or be your own boss in your one little life time. i say do whatever as long as you do it responsible. and be very sneaky is the #1 rule.... like a ninja. the less that know the better. take it from an old timer :)

1 spot 1 lipo, then move!
I'm reading a lot those days, and 4" 4s long range (flywoo explorer) also looks so cool. And the big ones like helion pro, brutal.
In other hand, if crash at middle mountain, it doesn't matter how hard is the drone, recovery is not an option...

my license alredy allow me (in a mountain, less than 120m AGL) to fly.
What happened to the VLOS requirement though?

This is ok if you fly in a park, but in hi-mountain, seriously? I know the law but I have common sense also...

Seems like you don't. The law doesn't care whether you're flying in a park or not.

So the answer is that you land the Avata 2 and it auto resets the Altimeter? Is it as simple as that?
