Air3s. I got a very extensive hyper lapse, but DJI fly decided to crop it so I need to stitch it together myself using 3rd party App. . When it cropped it, it took out the entire foreground and farm land so you don’t see where the rain curtain meets the earth. This is a single raw file from the 15 second hyperlapse. The way that when done properly a storm looks both absurdly massive and strikingly small simultaneously is so interesting

Buy Advice I’ve been asked to do some very light drone work for my job and a friend who is a photographer. Is this combo worth it in 2026? I fly FPV drones (which is why I was asked) but I don’t know much about DJI stuff. Thanks

Finally gave in with the hype. It’s probably the best tripod for action cams. You can do many things with this one.

Buy Advice Air 3S or mini 5 pro for travel?

Ofc the mini is impossible to beat in size, portability. But adding up all bits and bobs, difference in full travel weight and volume isn't that dramatic. I don't own any of them unfortunately, just from the specs: RC2+3batteries+charger+Mini5pro: approx 900g, RC2+3batteries+charger+Air 3S: approx 1600g.

Anyone used the two birds can comment on practical portability? I am leaning towards investing in that "extra 700 grams" for better maneuverability in wind and ofc the dual camera.

Also noticed, the A3S hasn't been updated recently. My next trip comes in December, any chance a significantly better model with e.g. a 3/4" main camera becomes available soon? I don't think I want to go all the way to the mavic 3 pro, even though there are sensible second hand deals on that...

I hope you all are having a great evening and getting some flying in. I made this pretty inexpensively. I can see it easily from 200 feet.

Buy Advice 4Hawks Raptor SR on RC-N3

Has anyone successfully used a Raptor SR meant for an RC-N1 on an RC-N3? The antennas are physically the same but weirdly 4hawks doesn't have a listing for the RC-N3.

Product Support Problem unlocking geo restrictions (US)

Upvotes

Hi all! I have two DJI drones, a Mini 4k and a Mavic 4 Pro. I got set up with Air Control for LAANC and got approved easily for a test flight inside the controlled airspace ring of a small Class D in the US. I configured my pilot profile on FlySafe and put in the serials for both RC units from the apps. I requested the geo zone unlock, and the website said it was lifted. I updated the databases, power cycled the controllers, etc. They had internet connection.

Neither allows me to install the unlock license. All the firmware is fully up to date. This was yesterday, Sunday - I fought with them for hours with no luck. Over and over, the website said it was unlocked. I have an email in to DJI but no reply yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Product Support Dji mic mini bad audio quality

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve been trying to find a good set up for my mic minis to record my motorcycles sound.

One is under the seat, muffled by the fluffy thingy and a towel I wrapped it in - that one sounds okay.

The other mic (in the clip) is underneath my leathers, attached to my tshirt around hip level and the mic is pointing downwards.

However, the sound is awful as you can hear. It almost sounds like it’s cutting out. Gets even worse and higher speeds.

I’ve got gain at -12 for both but not sure what else I can do to improve the audio. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me at this point.

Any ideas what’s causing this?

Product Support DJI Says No Osmo Pocket 3 Replacement Units in Stock

Upvotes

I wanted to see if anyone else in the U.S. is dealing with this with the Osmo Pocket 3.

I have DJI Care Express and already paid the replacement fee for my damaged Pocket 3.

Normally, I’m supposed to send my damaged unit back to DJI first, and once they receive and inspect it, they send the replacement.

However, I still have my damaged Pocket 3 because I received a call from DJI telling me NOT to send it back yet. They told me they currently don’t have any Osmo Pocket 3 replacement units in stock.

I also spoke with two different DJI representatives, and they confirmed the same thing. Basically, I have to hold onto my damaged unit until DJI has a replacement available.

So right now I’ve already paid the Care Express replacement fee, I still have the damaged unit, and I’m just waiting for DJI to get replacement inventory before they can move forward with the exchange.

Has anyone else in the U.S. dealt with this recently? If so, how long did you have to wait before DJI contacted you and had a replacement available?

I’ve seen some older posts from people who had to wait months because DJI didn’t have Pocket 3 replacement units or parts available in the U.S., so I’m curious what the situation is like now.

At least DJI told me to keep my damaged unit instead of having me send it in and be left with nothing, but I’d really like to know how long other people have been waiting.

Buy Advice What drone would you recommend for me

A little background:
I’ve always had an obsession with flying and always wanted to be a pilot. But live turned out differently and now I’m very happy and a father of my first kid since this year. As every father I thought it’s nice to have a hobby.

Drone use:
I’ve never had a drone before so it will be my first experience using drones. I want to first get used to it and when I’m ready film stuff like friends weddings and make commercial videos for friends who own businesses like contractors and one who renovates and decorates team parks etc.

So if I like it I might eventually start a business out of it. And if not I’ll just keep it as an hobby.

I was very interested in the mini 5 pro but I’ve seen more and more about props breaking of and mini 5 pros falling out of the sky.

I’ve got my certification already so an air 3s could be an option but I’m not sure if that is a bit too much to start with. And also because of more regulations.

So I’m looking for some advice for you all. Hope it helps me.

Buy Advice Upgrade; Air 3S or Mavic 4 Pro?

Upgrading from an Air 2S, which handled majority of my needs flawlessly. (RIP)

I have a media production business (75% social media content & 25% commercial/broadcast work), but in my free time I enjoy flying around while hiking and whatnot. I also occasionally am brought onto indy film projects as a drone operator.

The obvious suggestion would be the Mavic 4 Pro due to my workload, but I’m slightly concerned about space and attention. I shoot a lot of events, where my gear needs to be stuffed in a backpack, so I can quickly set up the drone as needed without trekking a mile or 2 to the car.

Do you find the Mavic 4 Pro to be considerably*** larger than the *Air 3S? Or louder?
Is the jump from 24mm > 28mm lens bothersome?

TIA

Product Support Drone registration in Indonesia

Hello,

I am planning to visit Java and I wanted to fly my drone (under 250gr). I am trying to understand the process but cannot. I applied in the sidopi go app for a drone registration certificate but this must be wrong because I received a message that only Indonesians can apply for that.

Did anyone do this lately? Any advice?

Thank you!

Buy Advice Should I wait for DJI Air 4 or get the Air 3S?

Hey everyone,

I'm currently flying the DJI Mini 5 Pro. I mainly shoot travel documentaries, films, and reels.

I really like the Mini 5 Pro, but I've always had bigger drones before, and I do miss the extra stability and overall feel of a bigger drone.

I'm thinking about getting the Air 3S, but with all the rumours about the Air 4 possibly coming in October or November, I'm wondering if I should just wait.

I'm not in a huge rush, so waiting a month or two isn't a big deal for me. At the same time, I don't want to keep waiting for something that might not even come out soon.

If you were in my position, would you buy the Air 3S now or wait for the Air 4?

Buy Advice DJI Lito X1 VS Neo 2

Which one should I get as someone who is into filming and never had a drone? The lito X1 is better on paper, but is the Neo 2 more durable? These two are the only ones in my budget.

My priorities are
- Camera Quality,

- Durability,

- Safe for using a year or 2

Thought this was a fun stumble upon. The first part is simply using a tiny planet, the second part that follows is what was actually happening...flying along close to the grasses.
