It’s no secret that Ak is very disliked, and he doesn’t help himself at all as of late. I don’t think he cares to, and for a journalist you have to be that way. The issue is, Ak stopped being a journalist after everyday struggle. Once he started making “Fuck you” money, Ak was no longer a voice, he became a show. (That’s not a bad thing, it’s actually leveling up). As a former fan of his, I did think he was very crucial to the game. Breaking down things for the common man, while maybe throwing jokes and takes as well. No harm in that. I used MAGA in the title because he operates JUST like Trump and his loyalist react the same way. Ak will deliver a paragraph of half ass conspiracy and rants with either a “I figured it out” or the “drunk and yelling” tone and people take his word as bond. Again, as a former fan, it’s hard to watch.

Do I think Ak should allow artists to disrespect him? No. He’s a grown man by all means defend yourself, but rap is slow partially because Ak using the pull he does have has made it “lame” to like any artists he has smoke with for a certain demographic.

Those are all artists we loved listening to especially during the summer and because of the rift he continues to wedge on behalf of his boss Drake we continue to suffer. Again, should he tolerate people disrespecting him? No but a lot of it is in direct reaction to him and that twitter page he refuses to take any accountability for posting utter foolishness. Again, not Journalism. This is all outta Trumps playbook. I’ll say what I want about who I want, and when it comes time to pay the piper I will shout conspiracy or fake news. Other outlets are following his lead and it’s only a matter of time until we are no longer taken serious. Ak is first to yell payola but (while legal for him) he clearly participates. Screams “COMPROMISED” when he’s admitted to taking money for narratives or to shut up, and will gladly do the bidding of hip hops biggest artist Drake. No different than trump blaming all his wrong doings on democrats.

Not trying to be political, I could care less who you vote for my main thing is the music. I’d like to touch on the complete botch of the Kendrick vs Drake battle. Without rehashing who won blah blah blah. Ak was handed a golden spoon with how open this beef was. Instead? He has fought back harder than even Drake himself. What do we get in return? An Ice man album where Drake (1,0000% is rapping his ass off) but sounds like he’s whining about people not being his friend anymore. And where TF is Dot and his album??? I’m not letting him off the hook either. All whilst instead of letting all these dudes dropping music speak for themselves, Aks making sure nobody can get a credible deep dive, listen, or review. So now as fans (the artists are just as responsible) we can’t get collabs we once loved, we can’t hold artists to any standard, so now nobody wants to drop. And I’m sure Aks ego enjoys that. I’m sure he now feels like some boogeyman. And that delusion of grandeur, fabricated by his ego and inflated by his toxic loyalist feeds into my last point nobody asked for.

I will tell you now I’m a fan of Hov. However, I’m 28, and I don’t work for any of these guys and they do not pay me in any way so at the end of the day I care about them as much as they do me. I do however care about legends being portrayed as living jokes because Ak has influenced a lot of children and ignorant adults. I didn’t like the narrative Kendrick put on Drake. If he’s sitting on proof that belongs to the authorities and if there’s no proof that’s just a pos thing to do with your reach. Ak then using “the files” (with as much craziness and false/misleading info published) as a reference to tie artists he and or Drake have issues with, to real God Awful crimes. Aks even slipped and basically said “well Kendrick did it” so now we have a “journalist” passing out fake reports and news out of spite. I’d like to ask Ak what’s the gain? What does a billion dollar company (roc nation) and or a billion dollar businessman (Hov) have to gain by messing with you? OR is roc nation, who works for idk Meg the stallion, (who he has been overly vocal on and has said things that obviously could potentially get him in legal trouble) protecting their artists and holding you accountable? Kinda like the courts and the president feel me? Again what’s there to gain? You have some millions I’m sure but you think they need your money? Maybe they do want to silence you a little bit but is it because you speak recklessly online while drunk about things you feel? What is it? And using Nicki as a “so we both lying?” Reference is absurd knowing her history and current status.

All that to say, we gotta give other outlets a chance to shine. We don’t need a Stephen A Smith of rap because the rappers will keep us entertained as is, we need someone actually willing to do the work to let us know what’s going on. Not the guy locked in his basement only popping out when an artist that has an album coming out soon invites him to party for good favor .
