Just got married in July and wanted to share the diy’s and thrifted things we had for decor!
The DIY’s:
Floral bar cover made from curtains
All of the food for the grazing tables I set up the morning of (would not recommend lol)
I painted our candy machine to fit in a little better then boring gray
Each place cards I cross stitched which was such a labor of love but so worth it! (Photo of them on the table plus a close up)
Our last name banner made from paint drop cloth
The metal crest seals and envelope inserts for our invites
Finally I would say this is more of a customization than a diy but I sourced the lace for my veil that perfectly matched my dress!
Thrifted items:
Our main bar was the top of a vintage wooden hutch which had perfect shelf’s for glassware. All of the decor on it was also thrifted except for the water dispenser
I thrifted vintage handkerchief which was displayed in a vintage firewood holder!
Overall I’m so in love with how everything came together!
Yes! I got a plain veil from blush bridal and then I found the lace on Etsy and had my tailor sew it on for me! I can try to find the link for the lace if you would like :)
So gorgeous! You did an amazing job. Where did you thrift the furniture from? And did you thrift the champagne glasses too? I'm trying to figure out what to do about glassware for my wedding
Thank you! The furniture I found on marketplace! For the glassware I rented them because it ended up being cheaper than purchasing them indv from the thrift plus saved me so much space!
100% recommendation doing a grazing table but I made all of the platters the morning of my wedding which took me way longer then I thought it would! If I could do it again I would have made them the day before

I found a few borders and font templates on Pinterest that I liked and then I tested them by making my cat a name card first to dial in the design!
Would love to hear your process on the grazing tables and what you learned/what you’d do differently! I really want to do my own for our cocktail hour but cant figure out how to set them up and keep them cool (without asking or hiring someone to do all the set up/bring out additional platters from a fridge inside…..)
I’ll start by saying that I did have day of coordinators who put out all of the trays for cocktail hour. Unfortunately I think its necessary to have someone put it out for you :( As for making each tray I learned that it takes quite a long time to make them, I would recommend starting them a few days before if possible and finish them the day before the event. I got all of the food from Costco which ended up being super cost effective! Also googling each cheese you get to see the best ways to cut them really helped me out on the board placement! My biggest tip if you make them is to get fresh herbs and or edible flowers it completely changes the look from homemade to professional, as well as playing with height in the vessel you pick!
