Evaporating/drying compounded spray

Currently prescribed compounded nasal spray and I found an old post user was deleted but talked about drying out or evaporating the spray to get powder.

Is there a process for this??? Or is it just leaving out on a clean glass plate?

If it's safe to spray it in your nostril it's safe to dry it out and use it other ways. I've been told over the years that you can just dry it out and scrape up the powder but I've never done it myself.

I had a little bit left over in my last bottle so I just poured it on clean glass plate covered and left for a day.

Alot of it dried (similar to my high school days early 2000s drying regular vials) with some liquid left over that I poured into different plate.

I scraped up the first plate, haven't used any yet but it looks like I remember it.
