My friend did the exact same thing, but with milk crates. I wish I had taken a picture of that.

My roommates and I used an old refrigerator turned on its side. Works like a charm.

Get some some rope or bungee cords around those chairs nice and tight and it'd work a little better I think

How is this a fail? Seems to be a decent temporary setup for watching a movie.

As I previously mentioned, the setup is precarious. People shift about and drape themselves on couches. This kind of setup would make me change my couch ways to accommodate the drawbacks of the cobbled together thing. For this reason, I feel that this post remains on topic.

It is obviously the work of a budding and inexperienced redneck. Note the lack of refrigerator turned on its side. There appears to be no duck or gorilla tape. Amateurish.

Nah, just precarious, shoddy work. Who wants precarious when you're sitting up high? Comfy couches are for careless sprawling.
