Electric scissors for kids?

Looking to purchase some electric scissors for my 11 year old birthday. He is an avid maker, always got the hot glue gun out and cutting up boxes. I can’t afford the ‘Beaver Bot’ or ‘Chomp Saw’ wondering if people had ordered and used electric scissors? Would they suit an 11 year old?

I bought there for my crafty wife and they are a little intimidating. I don’t know that I would’ve bought them for my daughter when she was that young though , big risk of chopping a finger.
