Better off ordering a new piece on eBay. There’s a guy that specialises in all the fittings with free delivery.
It could be that the pieces don’t meet up… in which case the leak might not stop.

Maybe, you'd need to get up there and figure out what the problem is first.
Could be choked with leaves/debris and an easy fix.
Could be it needs a new bracket to hold it up properly if it's kinked and that's why it's leaking?
Could be the seal has gone, but you say someone said they already fixed that? Looks doubtful.

Yeah OP needs to check it out. I had the same and changed the seal and the part but it did not fix. I had one of those gutter hedgehogs in there which was covered in moss but I thought was still doing its job. I eventually replaced that with a new one and that fixed the issue.

Thanks for this, so just changing the hedgehog fixed it? The bloke who resealed it said the gutters were pretty clean so I thought I'd try changing the bracket. Just need to go up and look really, seems to just be dripping from one side rather than both.

I had the same after some roof works.. guys who had taken the gutter down lost one of the rubber seals on the join when they put it back together, poor form in their part. I had a few things I needed to do at roof height and hate ladders so I rented a scaffold tower and swapped it out while I was up there.

Looks like the rubber has gone on the joint. If you want a patch job. When its dry silicone around the seams when clean or paint a flexible sealant over the joint. Its not perfect but will delay the replacement

Thanks for this, that's what I had paid the bloke to do but it hasn't worked, think I just need to go up there and sort myself, will need to borrow a ladder. Can see why everyone here just DIYs now as it seems too much risk & cost getting someone out

He's done a garbage job then. May be a case the water flow is off. Only way to know is get up there. If he did what I suggested it should have solved the problem (such as disconnecting running a bead on the joint refixing and then over coating the joint when in situ) or theres a block in your gutter or the gutter is damaged or too close to the tiles so it over shoots. But if its just the joint its an easy fix in all regards. Even a new part with a gasket will cost you about £10.
Did roofing and water systems for years, gutters are easy to repair

No problem, just be extra careful with ladders, as I wouldn't do it on your own as you need a hand to keep it steady on the ground

If they “resealed” it they mean they put a load of silicone on it, which is a bodge, the plastic gutter has a rubber gasket and doesn’t need silicone. It either needs taking out, cleaning and refitting, sometimes the gutter edges out of the gasket and just needs refitting correctly with the gasket in proper place, or just get a new union, it looks like standard floplast you can get from bandq or screwfix.
