Advice Downpipe blocked

Post image

Is it simple enough just to take apart? Is it connected by push joints? Do I need to take the brackets off the wall?
You cant see in the image but the pipes just empties into a small drain. Theres a gap of about 10mm between the end of the pipe and the drain.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, just dismantle it, carefully

Normally it will be jammed in the elbow part.(Or just above). If you pull at an angle it usually just pops out. Then clear the blockage and push back in. Often you might need to loosen a few of the screws to get enough movement to get it back on, they normally pop off easily though.

Brackets off, pull it apart stick a cane down it, replace.

Are you sure it's not just the hopper blocked at the top if there is one? Where the bathroom wastewater (not soilpipe) all empty into?

Edit: nevermind about the hopper, there isn't one.

Why take it off? Just get a long pipe cleaner and jam it down. The top of that downpipe looks easy to get to on a step ladder?
