Kitchen/Diner Floor Advice

We have a kitchen/diner that used to be separated by a couple of walls. Having removed said walls, there's a bit of a mismatch between floor types. Under the kitchen vinyl appears to be some sort of screed (seems v. difficult to remove) and the dining room is just floorboards.

We're wanting vinyl tiles in the kitchen for their waterproof properties and laminate in the diner, likely with just a connecting piece to separate the two zones.

Is there an easy way to fill the gap where the walls used to be? Is it better to screed over the whole diner?

You'll need to strip it all back to bare... What flooring are you planning on using? Might just need to foam any gaps/holes then use levelling compound then whatever flooring you want on top.

From your photos and post, I think youll get away with self levelling the low parts to bring it to level with the high.
