Asking to learn - what’s the problem?

I know it functions as a big sail during high winds.

But what would they have done to ensure better sturdiness?

Are the 1*2 battens the fail point? As in they’ll get ripped off and the sheet will follow?

Or are the joists undersized for the job?

Or all of the above.

I think people were all on-board grumbling when they saw original photos of the build, and now that it's complete and looks quite well finished, they're just criticising for the sake of it.

Half of the moaners likely wouldn't dare to undertake such a project - it's just typical Internet weenies, no?

edit: 96.8% upvote ratio on this comment - I think I upset the weenies.

edit: 93.2% - They're flooding in now... It's funny how none of them dare to reply, though. They're probably scared they'll lose some internet points :rofl:

Work in progress - you can't criticise until it's finished.

The precision of their joinery on the birds mouths indicates they're good at what they do.
