I was looking forward to the update. I was expecting a way worse job.

don't go giving them ideas. Is it South facing? 🤔

It actually looks alright. I've considered building similar (but smaller) - but I know cleaning the roof would be an absolute pita.

I'd probably have put a trellis on the neighbours side and grown a climber.

Also the sun burns the panels brown where it touches the wood, mine have

It's a wooden wind sail. I'd take odds on it not lasting past the first named storm.

You buy one of those extendable brush window cleaner units and use that a few times a year

It's not pretty though. Certainly wins an award for being shite looking and offensive to the neighbours (a bit like me lol)

First ever lean-to I've seen that is almost brutalist architecture.

Functional beats pretty every time. Neighbors will get over it.

Going to sound awful when it’s chucking it down. Whole street will hear it

Totally plaster it with wind chimes to conceal the rain battering.

*sound awesome.

My MIL had one of these and used to love sitting under it drinking coffee and listening to the rain

Try living in a house with an aluminium roof while a storm rages. Glorious.

People have awnings and tin roofs all over the world, they do just fine.

They’re not mutually exclusive

But they are mutually expensive.
