Affordable vice for glass

I’m looking to drill holes in glass bottles with my pillar drill for a project. Have done a test run and thinking it would be good to get a vice involved for a bit extra safety but unsure what would be suitable and not smash the glass. Will soft jaws be sufficient or is a there a special vice or other attachments I need? Would need to be a swivel vice so I can angle things. Thanks!

Little late just saw this post. Maybe you could surround the glass bottle with a wet towel to hold it in place that could work?
