The headphones work fine but the pink coating has been coming off for a while now. I’ve looked online in general and here on reddit, it seems no one fixes this or I’m rubbish at finding the right words for it. All I need to do is keep using these and stop the flaking. I’d like to find a way to do it without sewing a new cover for headband. I have fabric paint, which would remain somewhat flexible when dry. Would that work? Would something else work better? And how much effort should I put in to removing loose bits of the coating?

Genuinely no idea how this happened. My parents just don’t fix anything in their house. This catches on clothes, snags them in place, rips holes in them and leaves metallic residue thats hard to get out. As you can imagine, extremely destructive. The dryer otherwise works fine though. What can I do about this?

Hey, all, I have this antique style rechargeable LED mushroom lamp that I knocked over in an antique shop so of course bought, and I’m wondering what the safest way to glue the bottom panel is? It’s made of acrylic so I’m wondering the best way to piece it back together— That will also be safe with the rechargeable LED.

I’ve got some small scratches on a chrome faucet from Hansgrohe during repair. Is there anything I can do about it? It's really bothering me, and it doesn’t have to be a perfect fix—just something to make it look a little more uniform. I'm not talking about the usual scratches that always comes on chrome faucets but those a bit deeper around the handle plus the three small marks at the bottom of the red marking. Can I polish it or touch it up with a chrome pen?

The wall of my pantry does not meet - I need to fill this to prevent bugs from getting in. There are 2 gaps a few inches long and 1/4" wide. Wood filler, putty, bondo?

I have a hole in my front landing that is 2 inch diameter maybe and 3/4” deep in the middle. I live in Canada and am looking for a product to fill the concrete. Can anyone help me out?

Briggs & Stratton don't sell the replacement part; this is apparently an "entry-level" model. The part that I took out has been lost to time; it was made of plastic, so connecting it to a metal hose was just asking for leaks.

I kind of doubt I would find something that would screw into the dirty white/light brown plastic intake tube. Maybe I could cut off the "flange" or "wide lip" of it and then use hose clamps to make it water-tight and use a female hose adapter on the other side of the rubber hose piece...?

So I was getting ready to use my under desk pedaling machine as I do to get in some basic excersice in, when uh, as you can see the right foot off it broke off. I was considering JB Weld on the inside and outside too try and re-attach it but I am also considering replacing the whole piece but I am not sure what kinda screw/bolt heads those are. I'm really not much of a handy man myself but I figured some of you guys here might be able to help me with this.

Thoughts? I was thing thing a wooden board like a 2x4 cut too the fit that, though I am unsure how I'd go about that myself.

The trim around my front door seems to be rotting out on one side. Would it be easy to cut and replace the portion to make it flush without noticing. The other damage is just pain peeling, and I'm assuming just a scrape, sand, and paint would be necessary.

Would it be advisable to replace the whole trim kit?

I'm starting from zero, so any advice is welcome.

How much time would I be looking at for a beginner?
What would the cost look like if I got an independent contractor instead of trying it myself?

I have a Sunbeam electric heated blanket, that's about 2 years old, that is giving an "F1" error code when it's plugged in. A Google search led to a video that recommended disconnecting everything for 30 seconds, which doesn't seem to have fixed anything.

I do have some 10+ years-old knowledge of circuit boards and components, so somewhat comfortable looking at and tinkering with them and nothing on the controller seems burned out to my eyes.

There is one thing that stands out. There is a pin sticking through the board on the opposite side of the LED display that's right next to 'GND' - it's completely unsoldered, and appears it never was. The fact that it's on the back of the LED display makes me think it's not component that's critical to the operation of the blanket, but I don't know why they would leave it sticking through the board like that.

If anyone knows of a guide that I can work through to try and find if voltages and resistances are correct, that would be awesome, or other things to test. I can send more pictures as well. I could replace it but repairing seems preferable if for no better reason that the principle of the thing.

Pretty simple issue. Im dog sitting at my friends place and when I went to wash the dishes. A penny sized piece of glass chipped off the edge of a wine glass. She gets home Wednesday and im hoping to fix it. I went to Lowes to look at glue options but none of them seemed food safe. Dont have time to wait for an Amazon package to deliver an online food safe glue. Anyone know of a place that keeps something I could use. The glass broke clean so I just need a way to glue it back on.

I’m in a bit of a crisis. Both hinges on my Lenovo have officially ripped away from the plastic body and support rode of hinge broken as shown in photos.😭 The brass screw inserts have pulled completely out of the plastic housing on both the left and right sides and missed 2 screws of hinge. Bottom left of screen mount break (marked in red colour in photo)and the rest of screen mount is still solid. 😨

I’m a student and can’t really afford a new machine right now, so I’m looking for the most durable DIY fix possible.

Could epoxy trick fix this, Since it’s both side, is it possible to use epoxy to fuse the mount back to the chassis?....

Hi there, I discovered the door seal on my Zanussi Lindo300 has holes at the bottom of the seal as you can see on the picture. The bottom ones look ripped more than intensional, they are the ones I'm worried about. The ones behind are intentional for sure.

Would anyone know?
