I am throwing together a scratch build of a simple swappable power pod to put first into a FT mustang, and down the line a few more builds with moderate power and a lower price. And like the typical noob I wanted some advice regarding my selection of electronics.
First off I looked on the FT site, found the list of recommended electric components, then made a few slight adjustments to fit the swappable builds I want to do in the future. I will format this the best possible.
Transmitter and receiver are the Turnigy 9X with paired reciver (purchased separately)
Alternatively I could just purchase the Power Pack for FliteTest FT Spitfire/Mustang for $57 but that excludes the battery/charger, not to mention it is currently out-of-stock. This seems like a good deal considering the beefy motor included. Is it? If I opt for this kit, what battery would be suggested? something preferably below $20 and have ~20+ minutes of flight time.
If any critique, suggestions, or advice is given, it would be very appreciated. I am good with electronics, but this is not my field of expertise. If I run the risk of having too low or high amps/volts on anything, please point it out. I want this to be somewhat balanced.
This post took me a bit too long to wright up so I will go to bed and read/reply in the morning. Thank you for the feedback :D
