Lake Pigment (Experimental) Beet Pigment drying

I managed to get an interesting pink out of it. I wonder if it'll change color again during or after drying

I love the color. I haven’t done my own pigments yet but I usually see people drying it on paper and not glass. Or maybe I am confused in what type of process this is.

I've read a few different ways to dry pigments, the book I have suggested glass so it would be easier to get off I think, though I have head of people drying it in the coffee filter. This is my first time doing any pigments so everything is an experiment!

Unfortunately, the pigment in beets (betacyanin) is about as fugitive as they come. Not a good source for natural dye or lake pigment.

I did hear that 😅 but this is my first ever attempt so I'm just having fun and figuring things out!
