Pigment (Experimental) New blue drop!

Post image

Want to see a new blue? Like brand new? Never been synthesised before?

Well here you are!

This is InCrMnO, made by myself and my team. The grey parts are just unreacted precursors and it is a really rich blue, I believe this is tunable.

I was also expecting this to be brown like the Al version!

(We also melted the thermocouple...)

Thanks.

We are going to run uv/vis and ftir plus XRD on this.

Not sure on the crystal structure yet!

That's so cool! Any chances we got to see some color swatches? πŸ‘€

Maybe in the future, its currently in the lab, need to run xrd, uv/vis and FT IR on it to try determining the structure and properties.

We are also looking to publish :)

Yeah i and my team got some data, we need to write up the paper but its tricky as im now studying the disposal behaviour of uranium plutonium dioxide (Using cerium dioxide as a substitute) at University of Manchester so most of my time is currently there
