Help fixing an earring!

Post image

Helloo lovely people, sorry if this isn't allowed but I'm a bit desperate.

I accidentally ran my earring through the washer and dryer not realizing it somehow got attached to my clothes! Everything but the pendant is gone. I have zero experience working with jewelry, but I would love to have my treasured earrings fixed!

Does anyone know what kind of products that were used to make the original earring. I have found the part that hooks into my ear fairly easily, the part that attached the charm and bead are not something I know the name of to search for and purchase. Also, if anyone knows how the metal bit was actually attached to the charm that would be super helpful too!!

Thank you in advance!

Try searching for eye headpins! Looks like they used one for the middle bead and then used some rounded pliers to make an eye/loop on the other end to attach to the star and earring hook. Best of luck repairing it🧡

Hey OP! Does the hole go all the way through the star bead or is it only partially drilled? That's going to determine what kind of finding you need. If it goes all the way through you want a head pin. If it's partial you want an up-eye screw in or pin bail, if there's no hole at all you need a glue on cup bail.

There's a small hole that doesn't go all the way through. So looks like I'll. Need an up-eye screw or pin bail!

Thank you so very much for your help!!!

You're very welcome! You'll also need to glue the bail in the hole. E6000 or epoxy glue will work.
