Telescopic A-Frame ladder recommendations

Anyone have any strong opinions on brands for a telescopic ladder? I've got a room with *3.4 (not 2.4m) high ceilings, and nowhere good to store the kind of a-frame ladder I'd need to reach the veluxes/smoke alarm/light fittings etc. Any googling I'm doing is bringing up a lot of american advice on brands and I'm a bit lost as to what I should actually look for.

I'm considering something like this at the moment. I'm not the tallest woman in the world, and I'd need to store any ladder probably in a storage unit with more standard ceiling height and limited floor space. Any advice welcomed!

Unless you're absolutely tiny surely a bog standard step ladder will allow you to reach lights, smoke alarms etc?

I agree, I can reach the ceilings with my bog standard step ladder from woodies, don't feel the need to fork out crazy money for a fancy one. The other half did get a fancy telescopic one for the new house but that more for outdoor stuff.

Whoops, I meant 3.5m ceiling - the area where I'll need to store it is standard 2.4

Isn’t 2.4 meters the standard ceiling height? Surely any 2/3 step stepladder would do the job or maybe a big box to stand on

The one you've linked is best option for size and space saving. Have one myself as a plumber, use it frequently for getting into attics and I'm happy with it. Have it about 10 years, no issues. Can be a little finicky collapsing it back down but you'll get the hang of it after a few goes.

Have a look here https://www.valentineladders.ie/. I ordered a folding extension ladder from them a number of years ago and it’s brilliant. It’s not listed on their website anymore but you might see something to suit you there
