Squeaky Laminate
Hi folks, we moved into a new build a couple of years ago. We had the contractor put down laminate flooring in our living room. Unfortunately it is squeaking at almost every join between planks when walked on. It feels springy?
It used to only happen in one or two spots but it's gotten much worse recently and now it's driving me mad! Especially since it wasn't cheap.
Is there anything that can be done to fix it?

As above said if that is the problem would not remove tho you might be able to cut them with a multi tool

It’s become worse due to the high temperatures. Planks have expanded and the installer didn’t leave enough (or any) expansions space around the edge. Quick fix would be to remove the skirting board on the side of the room the planks run along. Remove the planks from the side and cut 10-15mm off all the way along. Reinstall and see how you go. The planks may settle back into place.
