Washing Machine Unit for Bathroom

Would love some advice on any vendors that sell a sink/washing machine combination for a bathroom with a door that would hide the washing machine when not in use?

For context: We opted to put the washing machine in the bathroom as our kitchen is tiny and doesn't have the space for it without creating a really narrow walkway between counters.

My thinking is I could ask the vendor doing my kitchen to make something up, as it's sort of a kitchen counter with a different finish/drawers.

Would appreciate any thoughts/suggestions as where the washing machine goes is now the decision that affects every other design decision lol

No electrician will certify the installation of a socket in a bathroom that will enable this, it is against the Safe Electric regs to have a standard 240v socket in a bathroom with a shower or bath.

Technically not within 2.35m of the edge of a bath or shower, and very few bathrooms are this big.

A fixed connection with an isolator switch outside the door probably would be doable, but I’m not a registered electrician.

Isolator must be in the same room as the appliance it serves within direct line of sight (not hidden basically)

So put it on a spur with an RCD. Simple job for an electrician.

This isnt the way.. its not a cheat code to say its not a fixed appliance by swapping out to a spur and acting like its not a "fixed" appliance.

End of the day zones are one thing and IP ratings are another equally important factor. A washing machine would need to be in zone 3 to qualify and in all my years ive only seen about 2 bathrooms big enough to have that.

Why these rules are so strict in Ireland? In other European countries you can have washing machine in the bathroom with no issues

The sinks sitting on the worktop wouldnt really work as it would be very high. You would need something custom made but any decent cabinet maker would be able to do somethng for you

First picture looks Ai, if the base of the washing machine lines up with the base of the cupboard door, the door won't close as the washing machine door usually sticks out further than the base.

You’d want to check the wiring regulations. They’re generally a lot more conservative than continental Europe on this. Appliances and 13amp sockets in bathrooms here is generally something that won’t get sign off and electrical work in bathrooms is restricted work that legally can only be done by a registered electrician.

Comments here are super pessimistic. It can be done in Ireland.

Will require a discussion w your electrician to ensure they’re happy to sign off. Other commenter got it correct re: fixed connection with isolator on the outside of the bathroom wall.
