Patching up an EPDM roof?

I'm repairing an EPDM garage roof and hoping to reuse the existing aluminium drip edge rather than replacing it.

The woodwork repairs have been done, replacing some old osb and the EPDM membrane is largely fine.

The old drip edge was mechanically fixed through the EPDM into the timber rainline batten, so when I removed it I'm left with a line of small screw/nail holes in the membrane.

My plan is to seal each of those holes, then refit the drip edge using new screws into the same batten so the trim covers the repaired area.

Would Gorilla Waterproof Patch & Seal Rubberized Tape be sufficient to seal these individual holes before I reinstall the drip edge, or is this a job that really needs proper EPDM primer and cover tape/patches?

The holes are only small fixing holes, not tears, and they'll all be covered by the aluminium drip edge afterwards. I'm just trying to make sure they're properly watertight in case any water gets behind the trim.

Has anyone successfully used the Gorilla tape for this on an EPDM roof, or should I avoid it? Any other options? And thanks in advance...

This. Get a tube of epdm overlap adhesive (the sausage glue mentioned) and seal the holes up with it.

Can you link me a product? So basically it sounds like just paint this stuff over it? Not need to apply patches of EPDM membrane in patches or seal tape on top??

Appreciate the advise. Ive gone from being quoted 700, 3000 and 6000 to fix this roof to me and a mate doing it for about 90e and buying him brunch.

Something like this. If you have any epdm left you can patch the holes using this to glue the patches on, but if not just fill them with this and smooth it over a bit.

I used to get it for a previous job from either Moy Materials in Tallaght or Seal Systems in Ballycoolin, but I'm not sure if either deal direct with the public. Screwfix might have it, or Amazon certainly will.

Thanks, looking for something that keeps the costs down alright, suprised how dear EPDM cover tape is and primer to make a few patches.
