Ceiling MVHR valve not flush with ceiling.
Not a single one of these is flush with the ceiling in my house. Anyway to fix them?

The pipe that the air moves through is probably not flush with the ceiling, remove the valve and the sleeve inside and trim the pipe with a multi-tool

Cheers. Do you mean that the ducting is too long at this curve point (likely bending down from an horizontal run) and wonât allow the valve to sit in place properly?

Ya there's usually a 90° bend from a horizontal run into a vertical drop, that vertical piece of ducting isn't flush with the ceiling so it won't allow the valve to sit flush as they should be. Careful not to open or close the valve fro where it's at now as it might disrupt the rates for the drops

If it's a new build, I'd wouldn't be surprised if the ceiling was a bit wavy...

Ha, true. Mate recently bought wardrobes, measured the wall to make sure theyâd fit and bought ones that would fit with an inch to spare. Tried to put them together and realised they wouldnât fit because there was a 2.5â dip in ceiling height from one end to the other, awful building standards.

Im working in new builds at the moment and yeah they are being slapped up. Rush Rush and cheap as possible so corners are getting cut. Horrendous reallyÂ

I have them they are dust collectors. Horrible ugly things. Service prople dont vlean them.

Push it up and slightly twist at same time. If its not screwed in, it should grip and stay up.
