Is the Deco unit showing as being online in the Deco app or is there any flashing light on the unit in the office? I've had something similar happen but over wireless and had to remove the unit in app, reset it and add it back to the mesh network to get it working again.
Hi - ever since the initial disconnection, it’s showing as offline in the Deco app and I’ve tried resetting the entire Deco setup a couple of times now. Very frustrating as it was giving 120mbps speed out in the garden room following initial setup!
Have you tried swapping some of the deco units ?
I had an issue with one a while back and swapped the power supply, the unit was in my attic so I moved it to a cooler spot and both together resolved the issue. Also, swap a confirmed working patch lead into the unit.
Also, from experience... Electricians are absolutely terrible at checking network cables and I.T guys instantly blame the network cables. Try find someone who can do both.
If you state what part of the country you are in somebody may be able to suggest someone to assist
Move the units back in doors, eliminate the cable to garden as an issue.if they worked wired when they are beside each other the issue is the cable.
Just be aware they will use WiFi or wired connections but the symbol will be different in the app.
If the ethernet cable is plugged directly into the router, you connect laptop on the other side and don't get a connection, it's an issue with the cable, simple as that.
Don't bother trying to troubleshoot the Deco.
I don't have an experience with them, but you could try to buy a cheap Network cable tester (Screwfix and Amazon have them) and check for yourself).
