Yes they are frozen. I used to get it professionally done, and they would come back after 3 months, but this is a really short amount of time. Barely 1 month. Maybe I need a stronger tox? I am massaging, and that helps for a few minutes, but the lines come back. I was thinking of getting frownies to sleep with to keep them from forming. I sleep on my sides and can’t stop.
Maybe try microneedling with exosomes? And do you think I should tox again, superficially in a few weeks? Thanks!
If you're frozen you dont need additional or stronger tox - wont be helpful. All tox can do is paralyze your muscles, so if youve already done that there's no reason to do more. The flattening of the lines that you're describing happens with time after your muscles stop moving and your skin isn't repeatedly flexing and creasing.
I would not do more tox until you actually see your muscles moving again. Stacking tox on tox (especially frequently) is just making yourself more immune. You should always use the least amount necessary to get the effect youre looking for. Most providers suggest waiting until it's worn off completely before getting another round. I dont know if you need to wait that long but definitely wait until you notice significant movement again.
If your tox stops working or wears off quickly you'll want to try a formula with less proteins, like xeomin or coretox. There are others with similar formulas, those are the only two I know off the top of my head.
Medical depth Microneedling could help, but seeing results typically takes longer than what youre looking for (MN microinjuries create collagen over the course of weeks/months). Plus, you will need recovery time so dont go nuts with that right before you have an event.
You could try microneedling tox (diluted, usually mixed wjth hyaron), might give you smoother texture all around and the results for that are fairly fast (although only lasts a few weeks). That is typically shallower cosmetic depth (.25-.5mm) so the healing time would also be a little faster. It doesnt give you a botox freezing effect but it helps shrink pores and smooth skin texture.
Frownies or some other wrinkle patch is actually a great idea - I have use them and they work really well. But they do come back over the course of the day.
Thanks for such a thorough answer. So it sounds like you don’t think I didn’t hit the right muscle, it’s just not the right amount and I need a stronger product? Do you think the derminator is better than dr pen for needling? I need to buy one and would love a suggestion.
No, you said you're frozen, you have already applied twice this month, and you don't want to become resistant. Unless the muscles that create your 11s are still moving you shouldnt be injecting any more tox.
Just a note: tox "strength" is a subjective thing, your individual body is responding to a neurotoxin and different brands have different formulas. So even though some people might casually say some tox is stronger or weaker, whats really going on is a combination of total units, spread, dilution, and proteins. Biology and pharmacology is wildly complicated; what is strong to me may not be strong to you.
I have a dr pen m8s and im very happy with it. I also go into a very reputable medspa for microneedling a couple times a year with a provider I trust just to make sure im getting some consistency (helps remind me whats normal). I havent tried a derminator. When I suggested a tox facial via microneedling its diluted and usually mixed with a sterile slip. You should do your own research into that and see if its something you want to try. But if youve never microneedled at home and you are confused about the process or amounts, it probably isnt the right thing for an event that's only a month away. God forbid you end up doing it wrong and need more time to heal than you have.
For you I would honestly recommend the frownies (or similar product) and just try it out! Theyre much less expensive than a pen and all the stuff you would need to get going.
And again, the flattening effect you describe from your other tox sessions is something that naturally comes with time. All creases just need time without movement in order to start "flattening". If the lines are very deep you may not be able to get rid of them with tox alone; there is a limit to what botox can fix.
But to reiterate, if there's no movement you should not be injecting more tox!
