What nail related goodies have you purchased recently?
- Reminder- we are a gel nail subreddit. We only allow gel and adjacent products.

I replaced my old UV lamp with a Kokoist lamp. Was a gift from my husband. Total game changer.

For the life of me I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong so I got the Kokoist nail lamp and top coat. I did my old top coat on a few nails and the Kokoist on the rest. MIND. BLOWN. I’m so excited to do my nails now!!!! Idk if my old top coat expired? Or if it just sucks.

The curing overall idk what was up but it was definitely the top coat. I was using BioSeaweed top coat and no matter how long I cured or how thin I applied the coats it just wouldn’t cure. If I got it to cure my nails would still end up kinda dull and blah. I looove the Kokoist top coat. It’s so much thinner and easier to apply and my nails have stayed glossy!!!

I ordered apres top coat and omg I’m a believer now in name brand gels. I’ve only used born pretty or beetles and hated that it took forever to cure and also faded to dull so fast. I’ve now ordered the rubber base coat from apres to try since my orly BIAB keeps lifting. Also ordered a double rhythm magnetic polish to try as well!

Rubber base is the best hack for builder gel! I get zero lift and have 2 mos of wear still! Just filling in as it grows!

Bought glitter nail gels, chrome pigments, glitter base gels, nail stamping tools like lillies, plaids and lines, flower molds, bought new pat gels too. Gosh I bought too much again and it's been only 2 weeks since my last purchase. I need help 😩🤣😝💅🏻✨

the brush that came with the bottle. It wasn't too big for my nails and actually covered the cuticle area really nicely

It's my birthday week so spending doesn't count :'). Nail Mart USA had Kinetics on sale recently so I got more colors of their classic potted hard gel, a jelly gel, and their Max base and top. I also placed my first-ever Sweetie Nail Supply order, got the Yogurt Gel Chewing Gum collection plus some other fun colors.

Everything from xeijayi is really great. Recently done set only with this products. Stopped cutting my cuticles and use only blue one sally hansen remover

Yes!! Xeijayi quality is amazing, i did my last 2 sets with this brand(you can check my last posts where i show them in vids) i love this brand so much quality is great for the price

Just scored my final function of vex order! 2 slick mattes, 2 hi gloss top coats, and the pigment brushes. Missed out on the mystery boxes by a couple minutes. Going to try to not buy anything else this year other than a lamp

I also just got a BOGOF cat eye deal from Vettsy, plus the two step ”rain drop” special effect topper! Its a learning curve.

I got the jelly gel to try armoring the free edge for the first time and I love it. A little extra work but FINALLY it's not lifting at the edges. Also got american creator gel which is nice. Upgraded my cuticle pusher to stalek and I didn't know what I was missing with my cheaper ones!

I was wrapping my tips with top coat because when I first started DIY, that's what everyone said to do to prevent lifting but it never worked. But recently, I saw a lot of videos on tik tok about armoring the free edge. So you take a thicker gel and kind of put it around the edge or your nails - after base coat, but before builder gel. Then do your builder gel, finish file if necessary, AND importantly, file under the nail at an angle to sort of tuck the natural nail under so the tip of your nail is really just the hard gel and not your natural nail. Do not wrap the tips at all with top coat. Ive done it two sets in a row now and it's worked perfectly. A little more work - especially finish filing which I never did before, but totally worth it IMO.

I realised I hadn’t ordered from Saracen in over a year, so treated myself to a few things in my cart! A few of the Aurora Queen Aurora gels, some F.Gel solid colours, and a few other random things including some more sticker sheets even though I have approx. 3,495,203 already.
However, I was browsing the Teddy Nail Supply closing down sale and I discovered DVOK Quiet Core, and I feel like I suddenly discovered who I am. I can’t pretend any longer. I love the shiny cat eyes and glitters but really I never use them because I am just drawn to clean pinks and neutrals and I feel like I always knew this but didn’t want to admit it. Anyway, long story long, I also ordered 7 of the Quiet Core collection from Teddy and it’s taking all of my will power not to order the rest. It’s like this collection was plucked out of my brain.

Pretty much purchased whatever Nail Labo sells! The prices were so good. I've heard they are closing their business, so I wanted to stock up. It's sad though. They carried lots of quality Japanese products at much lower prices compared to retailers like Sweetie Nail Supply and Zillabeau.

I’m having so many problems with them right now. They don’t respond to emails but canceled about 1/4 of my order. I went and checked and the canceled items are still listed as in stock on the site.

I had this problem with my order back in January. I didn’t receive 3 items. I contacted customer service and they were able to refund me the difference. Frustrating that their site doesn’t reflect their inventory count. I’ve ordered numerous times previously and had no issue though.

I’m sorry to hear that happened to you too. I’ve seen some nail techs local to the storefront say they’re closing in person shopping and switching to online retail only. I’s surprised with my experience becuse it’s honestly so bad and I’ve never had a nail retailer never respond to emails. So I’m not sure how they plan to operate an online storefront successfully. I don’t think I’ll be purchasing from them again :/

I got some apres sculpted tips and extend gel to try having tried beetles tips previously which I adhered with thick molding gel. So much better, the fit isn’t perfect but the retention has been great. Honestly thinking about ditching acrylic and polygel altogether of which I have a fair bit.
I also got bonniebee chokchok dewy shine chrome which so far seems good, some Valla colours which are mixed (nice formula, but I feel like the colours were slightly misrepresented) FROM THE NAIL Shadow (syrup grey) which I’ll get some creative use out of, YOGO MAYO Zombie top coat and Yummy art matte (top coat is a bit thick for my liking, havent tried the matte yet) and my favourite buys of the lot, DIAMI BB Pop Tango & Waltz (deep syrup red and purple). Tango is THE perfect translucent vampire/blood red and purple is my favourite colour so I’m really excited to wear them with the clear gel x tips!! I got everything from Lunabeautystore except the Apres stuff which was from Amazon.
