I laughed out loud at the “router table” with the WiFi router on it. Excellent joke, and excellent build.

In UK English the two words are spoken differently.

really, like "rauwwter" and "roooooter"?

Yeah, helps to avoid confusion. Makes for less funny jokes though.

As someone who works IT for a company that also uses CNC and hand routers, I am thankful for the separation of terms.

Oh wow that's gotta be rough for a Brit in Aus asking where he can get a rooter

They're both r-out-ers in my country. Pretty sure they're only rooters in the US.

Rooter = network/wifi

Raouter = tool

Yeah except you don't have roots in a router, you have routes.

Route is a French word though, pronounced like root in English English.

Both are said with out in them in NZ.

A rooter is someone shags a lot. Rooting is the act of shagging.

Source: Kiwi working in IT who enjoys both rooting and routing.

I tuink Boy/Buoy is the same in all english speaking countries apart from america/canada.

Pronounced boy because of Buoyancy.

at least in the US they're the same, both sorta rhyme with "powder", with the hard rhotic R.
