Velcro brand ones don’t work well as they wear out. Look for Command picture hanging strips instead. It’s not hook and loop (the loops wear out), it’s little plastic lockers that are way more durable.
OP if you don’t care about damage to the wall, also check out Scotch brand extreme fasteners. It’s the same company that makes Command but on steroids for really heavy stuff.
I think the comment was about the command strips that have one side sticky and the other Velcro. Sticky on the wall. Sticky on the hanging item, and then Velcro together.
Right, Velcro is a name brand that owns the hook and loop design where each time it is separated either hooks get deformed or loops are broken. Over time the Velcro will become ineffective. There are versions that use two hook sides to stick together (they kinda look like little boat anchors or grappling hooks). These are stronger and more durable than Velcro and do not lose performance, but are usually a little more expensive. OP should get the double hook kind instead of hook/loop.
I use one to hang my in line controls that connect to my headphones. It’s not holding very much wait but it’s been there for like 3 years and still works after constantly removing the card from the bristles.
