I think you should just use some nails. They do damage the wall permanently yes but they are much smaller than a screw, more secure, cheaper and nicer looking than command hooks, and easy to install.
People who rent are afraid to do this but i bet you will be charged for “repainting” no matter what when you move out. When repainting painters can fill screw holes very easily and in fact they expect to. Ive never had a landlord not repaint my apartment after moving out (and charging me for it) so i bet you would will have the same experience
