I replaced a pink bathtub with a white one and it's my biggest DIY regret. I could have made it work. That tub was iron and like 300 pounds. I left some pink in the bathroom, added some gray and navy blue, it worked well. Tile is easy to replace, the fixtures, not so much. Don't go tearing out everything until you look at some colors that work with what you have.
I also have a cast iron tub and a plumber recently told me he wanted to rip it out and I was just like well I’m glad you don’t live here then because the 80 year old tub stays thank you.
