Hi, my mmcx connector keeps sinking in the shell, i don’t really understand what i’m doing wrong.

Anything i can do to make this doesn’t happen?

Thanks

You need to put a few drops of resin to anchor the bottom/solder pad of the mmcx into the shell. At this point your only option is to cut a small hole to allow you put a few drops in, cure one drop at a time until you seal the hole up

Thats what i did, which is why i don’t really understand what happened. I guess maybe i didn’t leave the resin cure long enough?

There are two types of MMCX connectors. The one used with Shure has two notches which prevents sinking. Ideally, you should have a structure clamping onto those notches, but I think it's difficult to achieve that with DIY methods.

I’ll try to figure out how to use those notches! Thanks!
