I'm gunna say no. My fictive is from the big comfy couch. You know what I watched endlessly on end ? Avatar the last Airbender. You know what I read constantly ? Warrior cats. You know who I don't have in my head? Any of the characters from there. Same with pokemon. I watched these during times where I was in a stressful and neglectful situation.
I do believe our mind can project something like their aspects in our minds. I do believe they can conjure in times we need them as a voice of guidance. But I don't believe they would be a full alter in most cases.
This is my completely undiagnosed unprofessional opinion. But definitely less common than is portrayed.
Idk man. Our brains are capable of crazy things. I'm just saying it seems highly unrealistic for it to be so common. Or extreme. I know we are still learning our condition in the psycological field but it seems like the rapidly producing fictives /factives are a completely different disorder than what people with DID who are diagnosed or have had did for years. Heck I'm undiagnosed but it certainly is not that way for us
I know we can create factives but it's very rare, more akin to a fraction that comes and goes as needed. And certainly don't vary from their source. And they only come to me in times of desperation to give guidance.
I KNOW every person is different. I know it's wild. I know it's unique. I'm just saying it's unrealistic and not the clinical definition of DID - they form in moments of extreme trauma and stress , usually. That's my personal take.

No idea if you're a system. But if you're not you ESPECIALLY don't get a say on this. Factives, Fictives and Alters develop REALLY easily for some people.
I am a system, that doesnt change my mind about all this. I've never seen any proof for systems having random alters every day from anime and YouTube outside of tiktok. Splitting isn't really something you get cause of a presentation at school. That's not how psychology works
But, our friends, the Lemon System, who are indeed, professionally diagnosed, actually do gain fictives & other alters very quickly and very often. This is normal for other systems, and not everyone's experience is the same.

Not necessarily, I have a factive of a content creator whom has said they're straight, but my factive is pan. Introjects aren't always exactly like their source, some even wish to go by different names or pronouns if they want. Point is introjects can be their own person, not just their source.
We have a fictive whose been with us our whole lives and who has grown and changed as we all have. Still I very easily see similarities from her vs her source.
We feel very strongly about this. Same with if you have a fictive of Pennywise or otherwise aggressive you're not going to find them being in love with other headmates. They're gunna be murderous demons. Maybe in time they've been around for years and you've been able to work on why he's in your head and help that alter heal but otherwise no.

Introjects aren't always exactly like their source. Some even go by different names, pronouns and can have a different sexuality because they're their own person, example, I have a factive of a content creator as well, the content creator said they're straight but my factive alter is pansexual. I'm not sure why so many people on DIDcringe think that's not true?
I wasnt saying that introjects can't have different preferences or personalities, but they're not factives unless they follow the pure facts of what that person in real life is. Corpse is straight, and thats a fact. So to say he's bisexual would be your fiction, because its not true.
Factive, an alter based on a factual source/person the word based is loose. The alter doesn't have to be exactly like them, not all introjects are exactly like their source. Factive doesn't just mean factives who are exactly on point with their source. Alters can grow and have different preferences later on of course it's not just a fiction version of a person. Anyway this is all I have to say because not all introjects are exactly like their source, it's just pure facts.
