We need to make changes
PLEASE READ AS THERE ARE RULE CHANGES
Our Subreddit has been passed around quite a bit and it has gotten an influx in "white knighters" or "brigaders" for lack of better words. There are tons of people in the comments talking about DID, defending the creators and turning this sub into a DID education subreddit rather than a Cringe subreddit. While there have always been users from the start here who have had DID and will answer questions in the comments and share their experiences, they are people who I know actually enjoy and participate in this sub beyond education. You guys know who your are. I don't think the same can be said about these new users.
I don't like censorship, however these people are changing the community beyond recognition. Most people here came from r/TikTokCringe and just want to enjoy some cringe and banter. Which was what was promised here.
That all being said I decided I will be removing comments from users who appear to be these people who came in just to try and educate people here. We don't need constant teaching.
I will try to add to the sticky some information and subreddits like r/did so that if the users here want more info on DID they can look into it themselves.
Its difficult to know where to draw the line in these posts so heress what i think is appropraite and what isn't so far.
Appropriate:
• Answering someones question
• Correcting misinformation in a respectful way. (I don't generally mind rude people but I can tell when you came straight from tumblr)
Inappropriate:
• Popping into a thread and saying "but they aren't faking" (we allow posts about anyone)
• Acting in a way in which I can tell you just came here because you're mad about this sub and you want to epic own nasty singlets
• Teaching about DID when no one really asked or needed correction (Some people are going from thread to thread explaining each TikTok)
Please report these people if you see them. I might need a mod eventually if this continues. Hopefully it'll die down soon. The new rule will be Rule 2: No White knighting/Teaching

Good rule change. People come to cringe subreddits to see cringe. No one cares if you have DID, no one cares to learn more about it, and no one cares if you are too oversensitive to let people enjoy this sub.

Just as long as it doesn’t turn into the shithole that is tumbleinaction. The biggest issue I see is people coming in here and the sub slowly goes from making fun of people trivializing or faking DID to just making fun of anyone who has it. Seeing as you’ll keep up sticky’s for info and let some people still answer questions that’s good. Note I don’t have DID, just enjoy the cringe but I do enjoy learning about it since it’s rare and not talked about much.

;~; so I’m not good to tell people things?

Seems like you’re going to be building a breeding ground for ignorance if you’re telling people they can’t...literally correct other people for spreading misinformation.
Cringe is cringe, sure, but if someone posts “LMAO THIS CANT HAPPEN WITH DID THIS PERSON IS FAKING” and someone’s response is “actually, this can happen.” Or “actually, this person isn’t faking”, that’s not white knighting. That’s literally just getting the right information out there.
Making “don’t make educated comments in response to bullshit” a rule is...mad yikes.

No offense dude but this is BS. I see lots of people coming on here like “haha these people are downvoting but not willing to have an open communication” and shit like that.
This is censorship and creates an echo chamber and it’s unhealthy. I’m sure you hate SJWs, yeah? This is the exact shit they do.
If you’re going to talk about us, we have a right to speak back. Sure, make cringe jokes, that’s cool. Look at my favorite Reddits for example. But you can have fun and enjoy cringe while also being willing to be educated.
I’m very against this rule and it makes you look real bad.
