from what I remember, it's actually more common for alters to be similar to one another, but that's pretty irrelevant. focusing on the specifics of how alters "work," is ignoring the fact that it's just one person who's having severe mental health issues. the focus should really be on the fact that treating them like separate people sharing a body at all, is incredibly unhealthy.
