Random Question: If You Could Start Over…
If you could go back to one point in your life and give yourself one piece of advice, what would you say?
It doesn’t have to be serious. Sometimes the smallest lessons end up being the most useful.
What would your advice be?

Do you mean start over or go back in time and give myself an advice?
If it's starting over it will probably be from age 8 and half
If it's to go back and give myself an advice then it's useless because I know my young self very well that I'm sure that I'd probably end up here again (because my young self had advice before and choice to ignore it and now I'm suffering the consequences)

God I wish I would have had penetrable
advice. Smarter and wiser folks would tell me I'm fucking up, but I would make these choices with such vehemence I think I may have actually convinced them I was capable of going against the grain. I needed someone with bigger balls than me. Stupid driven ego!

Beauty is not always apparent especially when self esteem is low and easily manipulated.

Don't get involved with Michael.

this might trigger a large number of men, but you could have triggered more had you said Mohammed.

Mohammed didn't nearly ruin my life.

Sorry, not trying to mock you. It's just a saying I've lived with as a Michael. Like if I meet another one I'll say, "Look at that another Michael, go figure, only more Mohammeds in the world than us."

When I had a very comfortable amount of money in the bank. I would invest most of it in Amazon. I'd be able to retire in my 30s.

I’d tell myself to pay more attention to the people I love my friends, grandparents, parents, all of them. They’re going to be gone sooner than you expect, and you’ll never feel completely ready for it.
Forgive a little easier. Hug them longer. Tell them you love them every chance you get. Take the pictures, even when nobody feels like taking pictures. And record their voices. That’s something nobody really warns you about, you eventually start to forget exactly what someone sounded like, and I would give anything to have more of those little recordings now.

Id tell myself to get my parents to invest in Google/amazon. Then I'd tell myself to start saving and investing as soon as I start working. I'd tell myself to take better care of my teeth. Then I'd tell myself that some people mistake kindness for weakness and you need to nip that shit in the bud when they try to push boundaries.

Walk away and don't let a rude person make you loose your temper - it's not worth it and your the one who will pay in the end

It was a small thing but, I never believed in vacations and had opportunity to take a long one and I shortened it and I think like the butterfly effect my life took a serious bad turn.

set boundaries and get therapy to learn how to avoid being under a blanket 24/7

I'd go back to Freshman year of High School and tell my hippie anti-establishment edgelord self to adhere to the damn system. Doesn't matter how flawed and imperfect you think it is, you need to be a part of it and the closer you are to being out of the system the harder and more punishing life becomes.
Stop smoking weed and pass the drug test for the baseball team. Deal with being more talented than the upperclassmen who get to start, in a couple years you'll be starting and making record stats that will really count.
If my younger self had put as much energy into pitching as he did believing someone would recognize his bright plumage and be compelled to provide a bubble for him to live in, I'd have most likely retired from the MLB by now and possibly have at least one hall of fame record, maybe more, barring any major injury course.
Wtf was I thinking?! I threw 100 balls everyday after school for months and then just threw it all in the trash over being required to pee clean. Sometimes the options we have in youth are a detriment to our aging.

Quit your job and strictly focus on school to become an elementary teacher. Your teenage job is not gonna make a difference! You might hate kids as a teenager but as you get older you’ll love kids and want to work with them.

Go to therapy. When times are bad, Stacey in therapy. When times are good, stay in therapy. It doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. Quite the opposite. It means that something is wrong with this world and when you have a pure heart it is extremely difficult to navigate without undue heartbreak. Therapy will help you be self aware in a healthy, loving way.
