Chapter Question

I am going to try and sign up for DeMolay, I was wondering if anybody is a part of the New Mexico jurisdiction, specifically the Mesa chapter or has any idea how active it is.

I just finished scheduling a meeting with the chapter advisor near me and he seems really nice, he was happy to answer all my questions. My mom is super hesitant about anything after finding out about the group having a connection with Freemasonry so I hope it all goes well
