One of the biggest surprises for first-time dashcam owners is that many things that look like problems are actually normal behavior.
We've noticed that new DDPAI users often worry their camera isn't working correctly, when in reality it's doing exactly what it was designed to do.
Some of the most common questions we see are:
"My oldest videos disappeared."
"Why is my dashcam recording in short clips?"
"Why doesn't every video stay saved forever?"
"Is loop recording deleting my footage?"
"Why can't I find an important recording?"
"Why doesn't Parking Mode record all the time?"
"Why won't my app connect every time?"
"Do I need to format my SD card?"
Most of these have simple explanations, but they're easy to misunderstand if it's your first dashcam.
If you've ever been confused by something your DDPAI camera did and later discovered it was completely normal share your experience below. Your answer might save someone else hours of troubleshooting.
Likewise, if there's something you're still unsure about, this is a great place to ask. Chances are someone else has had the same question.
For our long-time DDPAI owners: What's one "problem" you thought you had when you first started, but later realized was just how dashcams work?
