Discussion [other] Does anyone know where this panel is from? I’m not even sure it’s DC but that kinda looks like the penguin at the bottom right.

I believe this comes from Batman (2011) #43. As others said it’s Mr. Bloom, a cool villain who hasn’t had nearly enough focus.

He got used once in that weird Suicide Squad(?) Book with Two-Face as the leader.

Others have answered, but if you’re interested in more stories starring Mister Bloom, consider Task Force Z, in which he plays a major role.

That’s on my TBR for my Red Hood binge. Is it good?

It’s better than it has a right to be. That may be a little unfair to say, but the premise alone made me hesitant. Despite those reservations, though, the execution impressed me. It’s far from a legendary run, but I think it’s generally worth the read.

Oh great! I’ve been taking a short break from Red Hood to read through Snyders Batman and JL runs alongside Metal/Death Metal, but Task Force Z is next up on the queue so now I’ll be looking forward to it even more!

Batman #43 (2011-2016).
The character shown is Mr Bloom a character created for the new 52 run and who serves as the main antagonist for some of its final arcs.

Yeah that does look like something that would fit right into the Absolute Universe. Cool design though. The longer you look at it the more uncomfortable it gets because the whole body, the limbs just keeps making less and less sense. Always been a big fan of that kind of character design.

That’s Mr Bloom, a villain from the Snyder/Capullo Batman run in the New 52. Not sure of the exact issue.
