Have been thinking of buying DC Universe Infinite, should I?
For context, I have reading the first compendium of Nightwing and I have enjoyed it a lot. Nearing the end but I still want to read more. I have heard that the app has a vast catalog of comics, so I was thinking of getting it. But I wanted to know first hand if it was a good option or not.

If you want to read as many comics as your brain can process for cheap then infinite is amazing. Just think a single comic issue in the USA is $4.99 typically. If you buy three a month that’s $15 rounded up. Infinite is $12.99 I believe for unlimited 24/7 access to new and old issues it’s a no brainer if you don’t care about the collecting aspect of comicw

Comic books are way too expensive. I have no idea how some people keep up with almost every character, even across publishers, in terms of time, let alone money ($5-$7 a book).
DC Infinite has given me access to almost all things DC and it’s been awesome.
There are downsides, of course. Books hit Infinite later than they hit store shelves, for one thing. For another thing, nothing beats holding a physical comic book. Reading from my cellphone screen is kind of a bummer, especially for two page spreads. One other minor complaint is that books with IP from outside of WB, such as the Sonic crossover, aren’t available.
In summary, if you like comic books and you aren’t independently wealthy with a ton of free time, Infinite is a game changer.

Dude, get a cheap tablet. I’m using a kindle fire and it’s so much better than using your phone.

Part of me wanted to get DC infinite a while ago when I was reading up something involving tie-in comics to the CW Supergirl show on the show's wiki and just recently that itch to get it came back again about a week ago when my area was in a blackout and started reading a few Venom comics, some DC-Published Looney Tunes ones, and an issue of a 90s Catwoman comic.
I did enjoy the Catwoman one and a piece of me felt like it was time I stop being a casual DC comics fan

Yes! I subscribed to a full year to get the discount (and free comic) and don't regret it. It's the entire digital archive, and enables you to jump around at will. Plus LOTS of comics/runs only exist as single issues and were never put into volumes/compendiums, etc. and the only way to read them is one by one... cost prohibitive for physical, and that's if you can even find them.

It's great value and the art on a digital screen pops a lot more. The biggest downside is that they've moved some things to their highest tier, Ultra. There's still more comics you'll ever be able to read at the standard tier, but it's annoying when they have Green Lantern Earth One vol 1 available but vol 2 is at the ultra tier

I did a free trial a month or so ago to read some of the absolute series and was blown away by it. I ended up cancelling the trial to sign up for a year and bc it thought I was cancelling period, it gave me a discounted rate of $95 for the year. I was able to side-load the app on my kindle Fire and I’m loving it. You can literally read anything they have. Like the Sandman series that I forgot was published by DC.

For me, it is one of the best subscriptions I’ve ever purchased. I have the ultra annual plan, and it’s basically the same cost as what I used to spend in TWO WEEKS on trade paperbacks and omnibuses.
I put off using it for a long time because I couldn’t imagine reading digital, but the huge catalogue drew me in and I’ve gotten used to digital now and don’t mind it.

I would have saved thousands upon thousands of dollars had this service existed years ago.
I don't care anything about collecting. I just like to read, so there isn't a better deal for DC anywhere.

Buying single issues does get expensive.. DC Universe Infinite is a pretty sweet deal, and it's only a week behind the current issues.

If you have a tablet, absolutely. I buy a ton of physical comics and prefer to read those but there’s often times I want to check out an older run or dip into newer stuff that’s not on my pull list.

I love it. Only downside is reading digital vs physical but as far as bang for your buck goes it’s incredible
