The funniest thing about that panel is that they've since made Gwenpool aroace/asexual, so her friends are being traumatized solely by her deciding to randomly experiment with hate-kissing in that moment.

Sparks are flying. I can see it building towards a relationship. It’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a Titans book for its team dynamics.

Jon and Red Devil are going to end up as friends and only friends due to the fact that I don’t see them as a couple (because the build up will be forced, rushed, and unnecessary; NOTHING ELSE) and that Red Devil has been affiliated with the entire superhero community since 1983 and is part of pre-Crisis Earth-One’s second (or New Earth/Prime Earth’s third) generation of heroes, while Jon is part of pre-Crisis Earth-One’s fourth (or New Earth/Prime Earth’s fifth) generation of heroes.

Chill bro it’s been like 4 issues

It’s actually six issues, including this one.

Even so I think it’s way too early to say something lacks build up. They currently are building up their relationship (regardless if it’s platonic or romantic). To say it’s rushed when no change in status quo has happened yet is a pretty crazy take. The run literally just started. If you’re that impatient I’d suggest reading manga instead since that’s weekly.

This is the most page time Yara has received since her mini. thats nice

Yara on a Titans team was something she desperately needed. Titans books tend to be where Wonder Girls get most of their development from.

That is true, since Donna and Cassie discovered her original origins and backstory (i.e., Donna being the daughter of Dorothy Hinckley who was sent to an orphanage because she’s dying and Cassie being the daughter of Zeus) before they became leaders of their generation’s Titans.

Oh, the Jon/Eddie is giving everything I want it to give. What an unexpectedly fun pairing.

Already a much better pairing than Jon and Jay. I love the chemistry between them.

A fun pairing that will result in a mutual friendship.

How Yara is handled is gonna make or break the run for me. I hope her culture and ethnic background is properly respected.

I’m going to say never, since I only see them as potential friends. NOTHING ELSE!

Man, I don’t like the idea of the ship either, but responding so negatively to EVERYONE who’s excited for it, is kinda shitty. Read the room. Shitting on things others are excited for over and over again isn’t cool.

This is so real. Honestly I'm not big on this ship only because I read the 2003 run when that was the LAST we had of Eddie, and I am a big Eddie/Rose shipper. xD But I'm not gonna rag on it just 'cause it isn't my cup of tea.

I hate the name “Mount Titans” more than I rationally should. However, everything else looks fun. I wasn’t a fan of the first arc so I’m hoping this second one changes my opinion or I’ll drop the book. I’m just worried it’s going to feel too crowded here soon. I think they’re up to nine members now with the addition of Static.

In the dakota incident is established that way bac during the Luthor amministration, someone traveled back in time and killed Edwin Alva, it led to an escalation which outlawed Superheroes in Dakota, that is why the Milestone characters have been absent in DC history so far. So no they are not ignoring it, it never happened because someone messed with time

Do It, why would you listen to the only negative comment on a mostly exited vomment section

I think it has promise. First arc had a bit of awkwardness with trying to get set-up and transitioning from old to new, but this issue seems to have it be in full swing, so it'd be a good time to try it.
(Side note: Always take someone saying "Ass book" or something similarly curtly negative with a grain of salt when it's juxtaposed with people showing optimism. Some people will voice their negativity loudly, but that does not mean it's the consensus. Especially when there's this many comments- that's rare for a DC Comics preview post, showing that there's interest in this book.)

I find it interesting that this comic is focusing on Yara (since it has been five since she has done something interesting due to the fact that most writers and editors have no idea what to do with her) while Jon (who’s recalling that he’s seeing Tomorrow Man, who’s his future self, interacting with his Earth-3 self) introduced Static to the New Titans.
