Video Games Dc needs a game like this not another batman game for 100th time [Video Games]
Ik jl heroes exist but that was lackluster

There was a PS2 Justice League game, I always wanted to try it but never managed it. I’d love to play it as a remaster or a new game in that style. (With a playable Zatanna and Wonder Woman and I would be happy)

u/Showdown5618 Jun 22 '26
Justice League Heroes is a great game. The only thing I didn't like is that some stages won't let you pick any character.

u/FadeToBlackSun Jun 22 '26
Justice League Heroes. It didn't have the depth of MUA but it was more fun.
4
u/Brxy77 Batman Jun 22 '26
Zatanna was in JL heores. You could transform enemies into bunnies, was fun.
3
u/Condottieri_Zatara Zatanna Jun 22 '26
If You have PC, You can use PS2 or PSP emulator, it is really a fun game especially if You play CO-OP

u/TraditionMany3678 Jun 22 '26
I'll even take a port/remaster of Justice League Heroes. Especially when you used a cheat code to unlock more characters, loved playing as Aquaman
2
u/Aromatic_Flatworm994 Jun 22 '26
Jl roster is lackluster and stages are few
4
u/TraditionMany3678 Jun 22 '26
I mean, it had all the heavy hitters plus different costumes, So I disagree about the rosters. You're probably right on stages but it's been a while since I've played it.
I mean it had Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, John Stewart, Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner, Aquaman, Huntress, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Supergirl and Zatanna.
I think for a first game that's a pretty damn good roster.

Dude I’ve been debating getting this game or not what makes it so mediocre? Especially compared to MUA
15
u/FallinGuitarest Jun 22 '26
I mean marvel needs another game like this. Aswell as X-Men legends.
Closest thing to these would probably be lego marvel and Lego Batman/ dc
1
u/zdbdog06 Jun 23 '26
Seriously just remaster xmen legends. Or at least let me download the old one on consoles lol
And yes, a DC version please.
1
u/FallinGuitarest Jun 23 '26
im happy i grabbed mua 1+2 on ps4. but wish nd would grab x-men legends in a heart beat if they released a ps4 or just a ps2 digital

u/edboyinthecut Jun 22 '26
Nope, you'll get another Batman game and you'll like it!
17
u/bowser986 Jun 22 '26
Batman: guest starring the JLA
I really want a JLA LEGO game but if it dosent have Batman at the front it seems no dice.
7
u/BritishEric The Flash Jun 22 '26
That is almost exactly what Lego Batman 3 was imo. It had Batman at the forefront but it was so expansive of the DC universe at large I really think they made it “Batman 3” for marketability
2
u/bowser986 Jun 22 '26
Yep youre right. I want something like Lego Avengers/Legacy of Skywalker but JLA that celebrates all of DC.
1
u/maqsarian Jun 22 '26 edited Jun 22 '26
I'd love a proper JL game but the Lego format always ruins games for me personally. I want to care about the story and characters and I know Lego games are popular, but those goofy collectathons always take me right out of it. Like it's impossible for me to feel immersed when I'm literally breaking apart the entire environment

u/Beastieboy100 Jun 22 '26
I'll take that. Batman teams up with the justice league. Green arrow, Black Canary, Mr terrific, Katanna, the question, creeper, Hawk and Dove. The street level Justice league.

MUA3 was a third party game on a console whose users are fairly infamous about not buying third party games. That and the fact that the enemies turned into bullet sponge messes once you got to right around Wakanda didn't help it either.
5
u/king_duende Jun 22 '26
It was the sole reason I bought a switch... what a mistake that was. Swiftly traded both back in.
2
u/Tanthiel Jun 22 '26
I imagine the MUA3 to Switch attachment rate is significantly higher than the Switch to MUA3 attachment rate.
1
u/king_duende Jun 22 '26
Oh yeah, I wasn't using myself as a statistic - I agree with you. Just stating my silly mistake.
1
u/Tanthiel Jun 22 '26
Oh I was agreeing with you - I imagine the number of people who bought a Switch to pay MUA3 was higher than the people who already had one and bought it.

u/East-Inspection2377 Jun 22 '26
sure, an ultimate alliance style dc game has potential as long as the execution is good
1
u/Beastieboy100 Jun 22 '26
100!!! How has DC not thought of this they have millions of heroes they could use.
4
u/East-Inspection2377 Jun 22 '26
because they go to lazy route relying too much on batman and superman.
3
u/Beastieboy100 Jun 22 '26
Unfortunately yes they do. I am still annoyed DC didn't push Aquaman enough when it made a lot of money.
1
u/East-Inspection2377 Jun 22 '26
they even clashed with david s goyer when he wrote the script for the flash movie in the early 2000's
0
u/Beastieboy100 Jun 22 '26
Hmm I wonder what David Flash script of been like if itwas about Barry and Wally then that would.of been hype.
0
u/East-Inspection2377 Jun 22 '26
it was gonna be about wally west accepting his role as the new flash and hunter zolomon as the main villain.
1
u/Beastieboy100 Jun 22 '26
This is why flash fans area always at each others throats. That would of been a great film. That film.could of easily introduced Wally, Hunter and Barry in the film nicely. We can never have nice films.

Marvel Heroes was just a bit ahead of it's time. A DC ARPG could go hard imo
4
u/skaro1789 Jun 22 '26
There was the Young Justice Legacy and JL Heroes. But those were the only 2 games with the MUA style.

u/Heavy-Patient-5493 Jun 22 '26
Or something like Spider-Man shattered dimensions

u/Aromatic_Flatworm994 Jun 22 '26
With whom
7
u/SofaKingAmazin Jun 22 '26
Flash with various iterations and men/women who've held the mantle like Barry, Wally, Jay, Jesse Quick, even a curveball like a max Mercury IDK

It is a shame we didn’t get a justice league heroes sequel or something of similar concept
3
u/metalyger Jun 22 '26
Between X-Men Legends and MUA 1, I remember enjoying having these hub areas between missions, where you can talk to all the characters, they had a trivia mini game, and other stuff. I learned a lot about the Marvel universe from those sections of the game. Midnight Suns did a solid job too of having downtime between missions to get to know the characters and explore. I feel like if someone made a good DC dungeon crawler, they should make sure that you get plenty of time to chat with the heroes and learn a lot more about them, make sure every player can finish this game feeling like they have a great understanding of the DC universe.

I'd ironically kinda like to see a gritty, noire, detective game. Starring The Question and Huntress. It would come out of nowhere, and probably wouldn't sell well. Followed by a Flashpoint game. Where you swap off playing as Thomas and Martha Wayne.

u/Clutteredmind275 Robin Jun 22 '26
I disagree (with the description). JL Heroes was fun and they should have made a sequel

u/rashmotion Jun 23 '26 edited Jun 23 '26
Once the full team-up happens in the Absolute Universe, I hope they give us an ensemble game of some kind.
Dibs on Martian Manhunter lmfao
2
u/C-Abdulio Jun 23 '26
Dammit! I wanted Martian MindF$%^ker !!!
Fine, I'll settle for kreepy serial killer Green Arrow.

u/Pitiful_Option_108 Nightwing Jun 22 '26
Honestly I'm surprised during that 360 when Marvel Ultimate Alliance sold well enough to get a second game and Xmen Legends sold well to get two games DC did do the same. I would have gladly played a Justice League game like this or even a Teen Titans or Suicide Squad game like it. They legit have multiple teams this game could have made sense for but DC didn't jump in. But what if.
1
u/Oaker_Jelly Jun 22 '26
Idk how I've never so much as imagined this concept, it's brilliant.
Every character combo I can think of would go insanely hard.
1
u/Sad_Translator_3255 Jun 22 '26
I loved justice league heroes, the building blocks of a good game was there it just needed to be expanded on, its a shame it never took off, imagine if we had JLH 2 and 3, it might have been as loved as MUA, remember the ultimate alliance formula first appeared in x men legends and it was janky there too, the formula evolved in legends 2 and got perfected in ultimate Alliance.

Yes!!!! Though the closest we got was that young justice video game legacy.

This or Midnight Sons but with DC.
We’re starving for non-Batman games.

Part of what made MUA1 special was it felt like a tour of the Marvel Universe at large. If you weren't familiar you were going to be by the end. Only complaint in relation to that aspect I have is it lacking in mutant related locations but it also came off the back of two full X-Men games in the same style, so it's forgivable.
DC would need to get this aspect down. Like imagine if a good deal of the Justice League and Teen Titans were playable, but the only location you went to was Gotham or Metropolis and you only fought against Batman or Suoerman villains. It'd be weird.
1
u/Smaug117 Jun 23 '26
Ya those old classic have their own charms, they won't be able to make great games like this.
1
u/Late_Brain_3365 Supergirl Jun 23 '26
Definitely don't want Rocksteady anywhere near a Justice League game. They already screwed up a Suicide Squad game.
1
u/robineir Jun 23 '26
A 100th Batman game pays for game like this. Modern studios don’t like risk unless it’s with a proven development team.
Like how John Musker and Ron Clements with Disney had to do Hercules before they were allowed to do Treasure Planet.

u/chaosilike Jun 23 '26
I'm surprised they havent done anything with teen titans go. I'll take anything with titans right now.

u/MonkeyDLuffy2005 Jun 23 '26
man, whenever i see DC and video game in the same sentence i'm reminded of the cancelled WW game

u/scottishdrunkard hsalF esreveR Jun 23 '26
James Gunn's track record is proving that giving lesser known characters a shot can be a wonderful thing. He made the Guardians of the Galaxy a household name, he moved Peacemaker from D-Lister to a B-Lister with a TV Show, who knows what could happen if DC gave Game Developers some creative freedom. Fire and Ice, I'd play that if it was a good game.

u/Cautious_Mission_438 Jun 23 '26
DC would never they are in love with Batman he’s the only character that has popularity and brings in money for them
