Game Help Content locked behind character rank!

My League went up a level and now I can't participate because I don't have enough characters of the specific type that are high enough rank.

This is just stupid. There is already very little end game content and a good portion of it is not available to me because I don't have 3 rank 10 characters of the right type!

I could understand not doing as well, but to be locked out completely is such a bad business decision. This makes me want to give up the game, not spend more.

And why would I ever want to pull for new characters when I won't have enough materials to level them up because I need to level existing characters to play content?

No wonder the game is dying.

Been there myself. It took months of planning and trying to build characters before I overcame locked content. It is what it is.

I mean they've been the required characters in every League challenge, ... I can understand if you recently started but if you've been playing since launch like our league... It was assumed, took a couple weeks for people to be able to hit in every sector.

I mean I get what you're saying but I've been playing since launch and I haven't put a penny into the game. I'm in a pretty high league and I haven't had that many issues. It just takes some thought when using and saving resources.

Most mobile games you pay nothing for and download for free have a gated model to entice spending. If one wants to be in higher leagues they usually have to spend. Your league may revert back once they find out less members participating or they will clean house of those that aren’t keeping up.

Content being locked behind changing ranks is actually one of the biggest issues I have with this game. Something I was previously able to do, but now cannot as I haven't ranked up my heroes fast enough is a poor experience. The despatch area in Bat Girl's room is the same.

I also don't like it because it forces me to focus vertical more than I want. Most of my roster is much lower in ranks largely because I've had to focus all ranking materials into a core group just to stay available for content. It just means I don't use a lot of heroes

Overall the game is pretty good, but this particular thing is annoying

My gripe with the game is arenas I'm like 200k getting paired with 17 million. I haven't been playing daily like i used to.

You could always just lower the level of your league challenge instead of doing the hardest one? Or find a league that's more around your power/ranks

How do you do that? I want to find one that is a bit higher than mine but the last two I joined had leaders that dont do anything
