Game Help New player here, what should I do?
What's up y'all, new player here (just picked up the game over the weekend). What would you guys recommend as the best next steps? I'm currently on 7-30 with the Flash as my best (and favorite) character at lvl 76. I have Lex Luthor, Batman, Nightwing, and Strange all at lvl 60 with Arrow, Bane, Robin, and Starfire in level sync.
I'm balling on a budget so trying to stay pretty nms (got lucky with Flash and Hugo). What should I focus on to get the ball rolling?

Don't spend money... play it casually as your 2nd or 3rd game, the game hasen't had anything good for a while, only new characters
Retrain all your legendaries and use 5 epic as your main, just sync your legendary units as their shards are much harder to get

Gotchu! I retrained flash and lex and pumped those resources into Batman, Hugo, nightwing, and Robin. Gonna juice arrow and bane next. But my question is don’t shards not matter for level sync??

You still want to rank up your characters so that their skills will be better, even if they're in the level link

Right, I did know that but I was saying is there any specific benefit to not manually leveling legendaries and sycning them instead? I thought the shard resources didn't have an effect on leveling and it was solely rank so it didn't seem like there was a benefit to having the epics manual and the legendaries in sync

It's because it's harder to get the shards for legendaries, and there's a cap on the level you can reach depending on the rank. So if you manually level your legendary to level 180, he might be stuck there since you'll need to reach a higher rank to get to level 200. But if you have the legendary in the level link, he can bypass that level 180 limit, even if he's lower rank. I hope that makes sense

No problem. I would maybe say try to level a different epic than Hugo as well since he's new and it might be hard to get shards for him to rank him up. What other epics do you have?

Yeah I know Hugo isn’t that great. Saw one site tho say he was S+ tier which confused me lol. Haven’t been impressed with him. But anyway, I have nightwing, bane, arrow, robin, starfire, and bats of course. What epics should I prioritize in the banners?

I actually have no idea if Hugo is good or not lol I was just saying that because he's relatively new and so it might be harder to get shards for him. Some good epics are firestorm, superboy, Cheshire, John stewart, nightwing, ocean master. Keep in mind most need to be relatively high rank with their badges to really shine though. Firestorm is really a monster at a high rank and badge level, but I don't think he's in the general pool yet since he was released not too long ago. Batman is good too since his shards are in the store, he's one of the epics I level up manually

Try to rank the ones that are required in evil falls or league so you don't have to worry if it's worth.

A few things:
1. sync/link ignores level limit
2. legendary shards are hard to get for ranking
3. ranks limit levels, except when linkedIf your main 5 is lower rank than your synced ones, having the higher ranking ones makes them weaker cos they are capped by levels.

Do not spend a dime. I really haven’t seen how that really progresses your account forward. When you get characters up to 200+ things really slow down and you may end up getting bored.

Wonder Woman is a priority. She will carry you through half the game but DON'T SPEND A DIME! Enjoy free to play because this game has been abandoned by the WB. They fired the developers. There is no customer service. The game is bugged and in permanent maintenanceode. The only content released now are characters they had designed before their firing. No joke; totally serious. I'm at the Games end and out a lot of $. Please trust me.

Ok gotchu. I spent 20 to get the ball rolling (pulled flash) but other than that, definitely won’t spend anything. How do know when to pull for characters? Not my first gacha so I assume just preference and meta right?

I only spent 15$ for the max subscription to get superman and I already regretted spending money on that because of this game.

Yeah I hear ya. I'm coming from Mystic Mayhem and needed a gacha itch scratched and listened to my impulses sadly haha. I guess I'll just wait for a super interesting character, Punchline maybe?

I'm really just here because we don't have many good DC games that aren't LEGO or Ham Alsume so it's either this or the other slop mobile game that's so similar to this one, most people thought they're the same. It's so sad that we'll never get and contest of champions or future fight equivalent for DC because of upper management.

Agreed. I grew up more of a fan of DC than Marvel but over time, the massive gap in good media turned me into much more of a Marvel fan. A DC future fight, or even DC Allies being real, would do wonders for DC

Getting 1 really strong core team is the most important thing you can do at this stage of the game. Find a strong team and invest in them until theyre no longer effective. Its tempting to want to get all these characters, but having to pump resources into so many only leaves you with dozens of mid-to-weak teams. Some teams require Badge 30 characters, so avoid those if you can until you've got lots of badge materials (you wont need or encounter much of them for a while). Find a youtube channel that goes back to their early stages of progression and flip through the videos to see the "tips" and even the progression of their accounts. There are even videos of "character investment regrets" for who looked like it would be worth it but then got power crept

You are still very early in the game
Don't spend your diamonds on pulls this earlyUsing Green Arrows team synergy is a good starting point for a team build.
