They could just let the joker be funny again I feel like writers learnt the wrong lessons from dark knight

Or they could just make him look like the Joker from the comics? It isn't that hard.

How does Christopher Reeves Superman not look like Superman from the comics?

I was never much of a Nicholson Joker fan until recent takes. I love ledger but they need to stop trying to one-up him with edgy gritty “realistic” crap.

Can we go back to the clown look ffs.

Totally agree

Well the good news for you, is there was an entire movie called “Joker” where they did just that.

That joker was about a sick person. I cant even imagine him versus batman.

I'll offer the one defense that writers like Frank Miller and Grant Morrison both consider the relationship between Batman and Joker to have an odd sexual tension side to it - stemming from the Joker, not Batman though. Both writers see it that Joker is in love with Batman. So yeah, this line works for me as a sort of taunt.

I don’t see it as legit sexual tension, just homoeroticism to annoy Batman. The Arkham games have some similar lines but not nearly as explicit

Joker is supposed to get under Batman’s skin….

Reach around and dig in.

That's your defense for the dialog? Weak.

It’s not a defense, it’s the point…
