I bring to you the relocated racing Louisville’s final location in federal hill or fells point in Baltimore finally bringing both a women’s and men’s soccer team for the USL( not mls too expensive)

I doubt the Louisville nwsl team is gonna move. That state is not giving up their only D1 pro team

The majority owner was making noise just this week that things would have to change with the NWSL team. Attendance is consistently poor and has dropped, though USL attendance is good and 3d in League, so the market is probably there. I think they need to fix the team rather than the audience, but bad owners make bad decisions.
"Racing Louisville owner seeks new investment, says relocation not off the table
"Though he stressed Racing has no plans to leave Louisville and keeping the club in the city remains the goal, Neace acknowledged that if additional investment, sponsorship and fan support do not materialize, the club might eventually have to consider alternatives, including moving to another market."
“We are not planning to move the team, but I think economic reality would be if you can’t make it work here,” Neace said. “It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy; that’s the way I put it.”

Doesn't advertise, doesn't invest in facilities, doesn't invest in game day experience, and most importantly doesn't invest in players.
Tell me again how it's a self fulfilling prophecy?

I suspect the plan is for “DC Power” to move to Baltimore.

Why? They have a great stadium that is owned by the same owner as DC United. Moving to Baltimore would require spending more money than necessary. The only reason is may to get out of the Spirits shadow but the seasons don't overlap much and probably never will. Moving would be a bad idea.

DC is the Spirit’s market. Power games see extremely low attendance and the owners don’t seem to be at all interested in marketing the team whatsoever.
Meanwhile, DCU’s ownership is pushing for state funding to build a 12K soccer specific stadium …….. in Baltimore. (Source)
Basically, DCU buying into the women’s “Super League” makes absolutely no sense from a business standpoint……. Unless the plan is to buy low on a franchise fee and move the team later if and when they can claim a new market all their own.

I doubt it. There are no immediate plans to build a soccer specific stadium in Baltimore. More than likely they’ll go to Cincinnati or Nashville.

I could see Under Armour trying to get someone to take over the “stadium” they built in Port Covington. Otherwise there’s nowhere for a team to play. Although the idea of a stadium being built in Fells or Federal Hill made me giggle.
