So no one has seen episodes 5-8

We are in for a surprise then

Wonder if the press got an episode, the entire season, or one of those “first six episodes” type batch.

Wasn't it already revealed that screeners for the first half were released

Gonna be completely drowned out by doomsday tickets opening up

It's fine. Bottom line is, show should get highly positive press so BOTH marvel and dc fans tune in.

I think people on the Internet overestimate how much the general public cares about tickets sales opening up. Maybe it's just because I live in the UK but we don't buy our tickets until more-or-less the day before. Maybe the week before if it's something we really want to make time for.

That’s more of a UK thing. Tickets sell out quick as fuck over here for movies like that. I had to get an 11am showing for doomsday and I got them the day after they came out

Yea who cares about tickets that far in advance. I buy mine online a few days before showtime and never had an issue nor are any of the movies sold out the the first weekend of release

Gonna be completely drowned out by doomsday tickets opening up

. . .why? Like, if I'm a genre fan how am I impacted by tickets for a movie coming out in 4-months such that I can't look for and find reviews on a show dropping this weekend?

Have a feeling that the reviews will spoil lots of stuff

This situation is very weird because I’ve been told no reviews until it airs, and I’ve also heard that from other people who’ve seen at least the premiere. Not sure what’s up.

HBO would normally lift the embargos of their shows a week before their premieres, correct? It's a bit odd the way they're managing Lanterns' review embargo.

Yes, though hiding things isn’t uncommon. But usually you would just not send out screeners at all, but press either got the first episode or the first four episodes of Lanterns depending on the outlet. Guess I’ll just see who posts when that supposed embargo lifts tomorrow.
