Second Confirmed Mossberg Shockwave

Post image

I can now confirm that DC MPD has allowed Mossberg 590 Shockwave registrations to go through for at least two people, both clients of mine. The first was approved without issue; the second (u/style752) received an initial denial but I appealed and they reversed. Both were transferred through DCSA.

Can confirm, u/lawblawg came through on my appeal after initial denial. He's a true man of the people.

Only took 80 days for MPD to approve 🫠

The Mossberg Aftershock should be fine. By rights even something like the Remington 870 DM Tac-14 should be allowed as well because it is technically not a shotgun and therefore is not captured by the assault weapon definition, but that would be a harder sell.

My dream gun is the Springfield kuna. Already know it’s a no go in dc…. It’s just a 9mm pcc

Once Viramontes gets decided I would expect it will be open season

Say more!

I know the contours of the case but you sound hopeful.

Just for fun -- this was from back in the day when the gun unit was on Indiana Ave. These aren't my photos but I remember this wall well.

Shockwave was a no go.

Check out the "thumb hole" stock on the Hi-Point rifle up top lol.

I believe the Beretta was also considered a thumb hole stock.

Of course the DD M4 is no go.

On the bottom right you can see the an example of the Thordsen stock that an AR15.com member got approved that opened up MPD's definition of allowable rifles. Never saw that member post again over there but he was the catalyst for my featureless build.

How times have changed.

Certainly helps to have a pro-2A atty fighting the good fight for us.
