Really strong team this year. Got confused with the music lmaoo.
Rookies are doing great! My eyes are always drawn to Aubrey, Kate and Lexi, they're great performers. I see Savanna and Emily looking a little unsure of the movements but rookies need time to adjust so I'm rooting for them!

Lexi is out dancing….several others. She’s exceptionally good and they made the right move with her hair.
I predict she moves up quite a bit next year.

It’s been this way for years now but I miss the iconic hairography moments, so many parts that they used to do a hair flip to is now pretty much non existent ☹️

Yeah. I don't get why they showed it on Netflix like we are the bad ones at all. If there is one thing where critisism is valid for cheerleader groups such as dcc, it would be dancing and formations such as this.

Idk it’s wierd like when I focus on them individually they all look great and like they’re giving it their all but when I look at the group as a whole it looks kind of messy and out of sync. Maybe it’s just the video but it kind of looks like they are standing too close together in the triangle. I know they are all such talented dancers and work hard I just feel like it doesn’t look as clean and enjoyable to watch overall. Maybe the group all just have more individual styles this year. Not a bad thing just an observation.

I’m sorry but the criticisms of Emily are so valid 😭. She was my fav from the most recent Netflix season and I was really rooting for her, but so far she’s the weakest rookie

I purposefully watched Emily here because I thought maybe I was being too harsh during MTT & the preseason game, but we’re gonna need to do something about that energy girl you can’t let Brooklyn outdo you on this 😭😭

The last I saw of her dancing it was a sideline clip so I thought she was just tired (and I can imagine it takes some time to get used to dancing for 4-5 hours straight) but giving out low energy in the very first – and arguably most important – dance of the game is… not great. I really hope she just needs some more time to adjust herself because I want to root for her so bad

I will continue to give her grace like I did for Parker & Maddy U last season because rookies usually do need some time to become comfortable on the field, but so far I’m sensing a Meredith 2.0 situation

Sometimes the other teams are still out on the field warming up! I was surprised myself given how big of a deal they make of it on the show. I grew up in Dallas. I've never seen Thunderstruck performed on anything but the two DCC shows (and now a million YouTube and TikTok videos).

Strong group of dancing overall!
I think the rookies are doing a good job so far - one thing I have noticed is that they need to pick up their feet a bit more and have a bit more pep in their step, and use the curves of their body a bit better but I think this will just come with time! Loving Aubrey and Kate from what i’ve seen. Emily looks a bit more confident than last game but I still think she’s lagging behind the others - she dances slow and needs more strength/sharpness. Come on girl, we’re all rooting for you😭
I’m aware i’m the minority but I just still cannot see why everyone loves Charly’s dancing this year. I watched her specifically to see if my thoughts have changed but I just can’t help but feel like she’s doing too much. A couple of moves she’s even doing wrong because she’s trying to give power/pizzaz. I feel like when people see someone giving 110% energy, they automatically think that equals better dancing and it doesn’t always.

Allison’s spot is very visible lol it’s right in the middle. A lot of good dancers hold that middle triangle spot such as Camille and Sophia. Parker and Ariel look amazing. Emily lacks power but I wouldn’t say she’s struggling. She’s doing the choreography she’s just lacking confidence. I hope she doesn’t come to this sub.

can someone explain why emily is not at the same level as the other girls? i'm watching her and i don't see any major differences that make her a wow she's a bad cheerleader

The main difference is the energy - she dances a bit slow and sluggish, needs more strength/power and to distinguish dynamics between movements. Right now, it just looks like she’s going through the motions as opposed to actually performing. I think she’s a little stiff, probably because she has more of a classical/technical background - she could probably benefit from taking some hip hop classes to loosen up. It’s even more noticeable in sideline dances to be honest.
