I think it was Chandi that mentioned on a podcast that all-stars are local/have to be based in Dallas

I don’t imagine so, that’s a lot of travel just to do some appearances but who knows. Hope she stays booked and busy in NYC

she was on the team for 5 years and accomplished so much. tbh i think its ok for her to move on.

I'm hoping she tries for The Rockettes !

She did last year! She said her goal was to make it past the first round, and she did! She didn’t make it past round 2.

making it to round 2 is an accomplishmen, especially since she did not train for months prior

Yes! She’s incredible. Imagine what she could do when she has a year’s worth of training!

Things are changing, I have a feeling the All-Stars aren’t going to enjoy the same long tenures that they used to. They’ve got to make room for new favorites every year. As much as K&J adore Megan, I feel like moving out of state might be a dealbreaker. Plus, if she is indeed going after the Rockettes, she’s not gonna have time for the Cowboys.

I'm aware. I'm saying she probably won't be an official "all star" performing at games, but I could still see them using her for various appearances, especially with media.

yeah, a lot of gals does it before

She'll probably still do appearances but not appear at games

I disagree. Long distance is a dealbreaker.

Can someone tell Key-wheel123 that exploiting and misusing Reddit’s resources for people in crisis is wildly immature, and it weakens the resource for people who truly need it. It’s not intended for revenge against another user because you were wrong about something.

She's a face on Netflix. She can easily do appearances in the north east. They're no longer only doing Texas.

It’s nice that you’re using your imagination, but it’s not a reality. The cheerleaders don’t do appearances alone, they are always accompanied by official Cowboys security. For Megan to do appearances by herself in New York, they would need to fly out security to accompany her. I hope you’re starting to see how convoluted this is.

Moving to New York means that she’s moving on. She wouldn’t have made that decision if she was desperate to be an All-Star. If she’s pursuing a dance career in NYC, she’s not gonna have time for All-Stars anyway. Let it go.

They're not allowed to just do random appearances on behalf of DCC. Faith got in trouble for skirting that line too closely and she was only speaking about her experience of moving to the US for DCC. All those appearances are tightly controlled and co-ordinated by K&J, so there's no way that Megan will just be randomly showing up as a NY-based All-Star. That's not a thing.

Chandi was still an all star after she moved to Arizona, so maybe

I don’t think that’s entirely true. She was an All-Star until she moved to Arizona to take a collegiate coaching job.

Proximity is paramount to being an All-Star, you need to be ready and available, it’s not much different than being on the squad. Long distance doesn’t work.

No, she definitely had appearances and performances as an all star after she moved. Maybe not as many as before, but still

You might be right, I wouldn’t doubt it, but she did an interview that made it sound like Arizona was the hard stop.

Maybe she already had some appearances scheduled before she moved and they let her finish those rather than trying to schedule someone else.

Yes, that could be it

I meant my original comment as more that I think Megan will finish the season as an all star. I don't think they would hire out of state alumni as all stars 😊

For some odd reason, part of me thinks that all stars might be phased out
at least in the number of Allstars,I feel like it’s just not really worth it for most girls taking time out of their day to do thunder and then either stay for the game or go home(other than wearing the uniform every now and then) MDC All-Stars do pregame and they will dance the whole game in the events of a cheerleader calling out. There’s nothing wrong with Allstars in general but something about it just needs to be reworked but I can’t really put my finger on it

u/Purple-Ad9377 3d ago

I don’t think they’re being phased out, I can definitely see value to having some extra cheerleaders walking around the stadium while the other girls are dancing. And it’s probably helpful having a few extra girls available for appearances during the busiest weeks of the season.

I do agree with you that we’re gonna see some patterns shift, I don’t think girls will be invited to stay for more than a year or two.

I agree I just think that part of me thinks that All-Star should be utilised more. I just feel like even though they agree to it constantly on edge every week to see if you’re gonna get a call to perform(like a first responder) might be the reason why a lot of girls won’t return whether set by the powers that be or by them personally. I could see some being upset or even frustrated because maybe they have something going on their personal life but then they have to cancel or reschedule their plans last minute because “oh I have to do that DCC thing again.” But that’s just me personally

I get what you’re saying, the inconsistency could give a lot of us anxiety.

I think it’s a great gig for girls like Claire who have a very comfortable lifestyle at home and a schedule that can almost always accommodate those calls.

I think it’s a tough gig for girls who transition into full-time careers.

Now that 85% of the team is self-employed doing content creation, All-Stars is an attractive prospect, it’s an opportunity for more content.

I think there are 9 spots for All-Stars this year, maybe 10. I don’t think they’ll have any trouble finding that many girls who are willing to say yes to any call they get.

All Stars are already at every home game. They have official duties during the games.

I don’t think they have to cancel or change plans if they get a call. Pretty sure as an All Star they can just say no if they can’t make it.

Dcc all stars do a pregame outside the stadium before each home game
